So Just In Case You Were Wondering...

Exactly HOW the SOJ were going to insert themselves into the mix in this QB situation-again. Well, of course this means that Zach Wilson is going to be the starting QB of the Jets - again, forcing Mike White down the depth chart -again thus making the receiving corps (with the exception of Braxton Berrios) very unhappy - again. Mike White will be left languishing on the bench watching, with the rest of us as another Jets season- once filled with hopes and promise, go circling down the drain with a loud sucking sound-again.

Then when the season ends and Mike White looks at his options thinking: "Hmmm, should I stay here behind a player that I and everybody on the whole team knows is not as good as me and frankly UNFIT as a starting QB in the NFL. Then when he starts getting offers from teams who are smarter than the Jets and know potential when they see it, and a bidding war starts, and the Jets already locked in with 36 million dollars invested in Wilson are not serious players in the process. Then we will all watch as Saleh gives his PC in March after Free Agency begins and tells us all the same old company line kind of BS about how hard he has worked, and how he did everything asked of him but in the end he had to do what is best for him and his family, and just like that-Mike White will no longer be a Jets QB. And again, sigh...well you guys who have been around here know the rest of the way it turns out again and again for the Jets fans.

White needs to figure out how to not end up on a gurney half the time he starts a pro football game.

Or the coaches need to find guys who know how to pass protect, especially putting a player who has been injured and averaging 1.8 YPC in his last 3 games because he's hurt and then expecting him 5'8" frame to block a high velocity LBer like Matt Milano

Relax man, White has proven he's Chrebet or Testaverde esque with his toughness and leadership winning over players and coaches. That gets him an extension even as our backup next year to compete with a newly drafted QB. Wilson has proven that he should have been a 6th rnd draft pick fringe player that might be out of the league next season or at best the backup for the Browns which is a QB graveyard for all second chance players. I doubt ZW is even a Jet next season and I'll be damn glad of it.

Yea, TN in a "Normal NFL team" situation, this is the Jets man, they don't operate like an intelligent team. They don't know how to evaluate QB talent. The Jets have 36 million dollars invested in Wilson, and there's no frigging WAY Mike White with all of his talent will sign anything to sit behind Zach Wilson. I also feel really bad for Garrett Wilson and Elijah Moore

So you're telling me you have no belief that Douglas and Saleh have turned over a new leaf with the front offices decision making since they got here? They haven't made the right decisions at least 85% of the time? Because I sure as hell think they have and thats the only reason we're even in the playoff hunt in December.

Trying to think of a SOJ historical comparison...

Best I could do is the 1986 Divisional Playoff vs Cleveland when Pat Ryan (who saved the season getting the start in the WC vs Kansas City) was injured by the Browns. Kenny O came in and did basically nothing.

End result: Most crushing loss in the history of the franchise.

Not exact as it was in-game, but best I could do.

So your giving up on the season at 7-6 with 4 games left to play? The Jets can run off 4 straight wins for all we know. Mike White is not exactly one of the best QB’s of all time. I think if he signs elsewhere, then you should root for that team.

Why don’t you shut up, unlike you, I don’t need to resort to telling people to shut up or name calling. Completely pathetic, as I mentioned go root for the team who signs White in the off-season. Rooting for players and not the team, I’m sure your sitting at home Sunday rooting against Zach.

No TN, not when it comes down to the quarterback position. I mean just look at who is the back-up QB Sunday. The same guy who was named the starter after Wilson was hurt in PS, Joe Flacco named starter, why not Mike White THEN? Some speculate that the reason is they didn't want White to put up the type of numbers that he is capable of and then have to try and convince the whole community of fans and the team that they had to go back and give Wilson the starting job-again? They're doing the exact same thing TN. Look at what Flacco did on Sunday last, he didn't even play like he WANTED to even be out there. If Wilson goes down why not Streveler? He at can move.

You act like Mike White is Tom Brady in his prime, he is 1-2, had subpar 1st Halfs the past 2 weeks and has thrown zero touchdowns 2 straight games and made 7 trips to the red zone against the Vikings. Which team(s) are overpaying him based on a handful of games? How much will Cooper Rush demand if and when he’s a free agent? Numbers are better than White.

I'm all for Streveler backing up/starting Sunday but it's a pipe dream not happening. Anyone gives us a better chance of winning over ZW. Hell you got my vote to start over him if you can avoid a pass rush lol.

Well obviously not the Jets, and on top of it all I could care less who you root for and why. Simply pointing out, if you infatuated with White and he moves on, then join him. Not sure how someone can be a fan of a team when you root more for individual players than the team.

You should just stop posting. If anything this situation increases the possibility of keeping White, who really has not been all that great.
