It's not you.  That franchise is terrible.  They have a terrible reputation for a reason

Their fans are toxic

I knew it wasn't meant to be after what happened to Greg Knapp

Mark Sanchez, Geno Smith, Sam Darnold and now you.  They don't know how to develop QBs

They ran Geno out of town and look how good he is now

It's amazing to me that someone who drafted the highest bust in franchise history at the most important position in the sport, gets ANY defense here. 1 year after busting an ENTIRE draft class. Quite literally, the WHOLE damn draft of 2020 was a bust. Then he follows it up with Zach in 2021.

Interesting question. If I wasn’t a Jet fan I’d probably would have put some of it on the front office and coaching staff for starting him when it was painfully obvious he wasn’t ready. I’d then tell him to take every opportunity to improve himself if this is really what he wants to do going forward. 
 

Since I am a Jet fan and not all that really good at the parenting thing I’d prolly be like….” Take the garbage out you dick!”

He needs to work with a QB coach full time for 6 months if he wants a second decent contract. 
 

At this point even Darnold is going to get a second contract.  
 

But yes, something about Woody and the Jets forcing these rookie QBs to play right away is bad news.  Zach was not ready to play.

He will likely get a second contract — first rounders basically always do (ok Rosen didn’t) unless they walk away or disqualify themselves with personal demons. The terms and value of that contract is an open question.
