Congrats JiF!

Welcome to the happiest days of your life!  Cherish every moment, the good and bad, because they go so fast it'll shock you.

Btw, If you're as good a dad I I believe you to be, say goodbye to your handicap for the next 18 years unless you can get them into the game lol!

Thanks dude!  I just stare him in awe.  You'll appreciate this, the first clothes we put on his body was a David Bowie Starman onesie.

Oh and all my Christmas gift this year were golf; new Jets bag, Jets head covers, chrome soft triple track balls, and a bunch of golf clothes...so I made it known the only way to get good use out of their money was to continue to play as often as I can.  lol  We'll see how that goes.

In my mind, I'll introduce him to everything but wont lie, I'll be a little sour if he doesnt take to surfing and golf...I plan to introduce him to both early on!

That's the secret, make the things you're into as fun as possible to try to hook him.

Unfortunately I couldn't get my kids into anything I liked, but I'm still trying new things every year they older they get.

Kids are amazing.  You think you know what love is until they're born.  Then you realize you only thought you knew.  In about 5 years, the amount of love you feel now will pale in comparison to just how much more you love him then.

I loved raising my kids so much I wish I could start over again.

It's funny, you hear this all the time and I'm like yeah, duh, that's why we're having one.  And then it happens and you're like, oh, yeah, ****, they're right.  lol

I've been playing the guitar and signing for him and obviously talking to him in the belly and I swear, that stuff worked.  I'm the only one right now who can mellow him out when he's fussing...other than the nip, obviously but when it's not feeding time and he's fussing, I sing to him and talk to him the same way I did when he was in there and seeing him respond is the most epic thing I've ever experience in my life by far.  And then my wife, watching her push for 6 hours and bring this guy out, I knew I married a bad ass and I've been head over heels but man and feel like a great husband but now?  sh*t, I feel like I've taken her for granted!  First kid at 43 and I'm sitting here like, wtf was I waiting for?  lol

It’s been proven that kids can pick up on things in the womb that they recognize later.

A study showed that if a Mom read a story to the child in the womb, the baby would recognize it both on repeated readings in the womb AND also recognize it after being born based on heart rhythm patterns.
