Alka
The offensive line hasn't looked good lately, and forgetting about the playoffs, there are other considerations: 1. George Fant, McGovern, OGBushi, Tomlinson could all be out of a job after this season with the Jets. I think they all know that with a meaningful game today, what they put on tape will determine a lot for the future. Herbig needs to bounce back as well. 2. Is Mike White the answer? Today is another day to prove one way or another. 3. Is Bam in the future? How about Ty Johnson? Will Ty even be on the roster next year if he doesn't step up today? 4. Corey Davis, Berrios and Mims? The fact that this is a meaningful game, gives the Jets leadership a great opportunity to see if any and all of these players factor in to future. For my money, I think that the Jets will play one of its best games of the season today. After crapping out the last few games, only to be given an additional life line, I think is a wakeup call for many of these guys, with just 2 games left to play, and so much on the line. I've been wrong before, but if I am wrong, then the roster will be having a bigger turnover after the season than most of us expect.
Integrity28
The run game was deemohasized with MLF getting too pass Happy in MW first stretch of games, then with Zach the opposing defenses took the run away completely by over-stacking the box. My hope is that we can run the ball today with balance. What that means for future plans can be figured out later… the Seattle defense is awful vs. the run. We just have to attack it.

JD is going to have to go OL with the first draft pick next year. Losing AVT has just crippled this OL. And Becton needs to get his big fat butt moving to play next year. It's looking like, fingers crossed, Brown at LT who has been good and can hold fort another year. AVT at right guard, Becton at RT, and JD will have to either go guard or tackle with that fist pick. JD is going to have to either trade or sign for a center and guard or tackle. The problem is Brown is done after next year and Becton is just a huge question mark. Herbig and Mitchell provide depth which is needed but upgrades are need at center (McGovern) and guard (Tomlinson) who has sucked. JD has his work cut out for him - yet again with the OL.

JiFtheOracle
I agree, I think they come out and play inspired Football coming off a mini bye after being embarrassed at home. Especially w/ Mike White back. That said, this game doesnt mean anything for the future that any other game did other then if they win today, they stay alive in the playoff hunt and have a possible play in game next week. Maybe it means a little more to Mike White but the rest? They've had all season to audition, for the most part.

I have to agree. Fant is 100% gone after this year, and Becton can't be counted on for anything. The Jets will draft a starting right tackle in round #1, and Duane Brown will again play left tackle. My opinion is that Tomlinson is a goner, and AVT will move back to left guard. Herbig might have a home at right guard, and I think we will need a center as well. Max is the backup right tackle, and Becton (if healthy) will be the backup left tackle. Oboushi will back up the guard position. At least for now, but things could still change.

I've seen film where Tomlinson looks like he's sitting on a toilet bowl with the pass rush going right by him. WTF this guy has been horrible. They need to cut ties after this year. What a waste.
