Popular Post Prodigal Syndicate
I think after today, injury or not, the Mike White being a starter fantasy is dead. I wouldn't mind him back as a back up on a cheap contract, but I think that's where it stops. Wilson looks like a complete bust, unclear if he will be brought back or dumped. I wouldn't cry over him being QB3 if MLF is fired and they think someone else can develop him. Wouldn't care if he gets dumped either. Flacco is finished, Strev is a waste of a roster spot. I think a vet will be brought in. Douglas and Saleh will be feeling the heat to win. The honeymoon is over. Realistically I think the position could look something like Carr/Jimmy G QB1 Mike White QB2 Zach Wilson QB3 Late round Developmental Pick QB4 What is everyone else's thoughts? 4 1

football guy
It’s not all MW or ZW fault. I have no idea whether they can be good long-term answers or not, but there are fundamental issues with our offensive coaching staff that prevent us from truly knowing. Zach is not going anywhere. People think Saleh wants to get rid of him or that JD forces Zach onto the staff. Not true. He’s Saleh’s baby too, he believe in him and he wants to get the most out of him. I think they will bring back MW, bring in a veteran, and make a few significant coaching hires to try and fix things in the QB room. Best guy will play. If it fails everyone is gone 5

Anthony Jet
Unless we draft a Qb. Why on earth would we get rid of ZW? A high pick I could see but besides that he should try to be developed as QB3.
Flea Flicking Frank
this is like talking about the deck chairs on the titanic. The problem is the ******* awful coaching staff, until that is fixed, nothing matters

pointman
White is trash. There is no reason to retain him. He is what he is and won't get better. Flacco retired years ago. Zach is under his rookie deal that is fully guaranteed. No reason to dump him unless someone gives up a 1 for him and no one will. Strevelator deserves a chance on the depth chart, but I am sure someone will steal him. We need 2 real QBs to be brought in.

If it fails everyone is gone If Woody is smart he won't allow this to happen. The basis for MW was always the defense. The defense lost control of its own narrative. MW is therefore irrelevant. ZW -- he's just not a good QB from even a fundamentals and instincts POV. The GM, the HC, Woody, everyone, will be signing up for a fait accompli if we place any expectation on improvement from any QB on this roster. I knew it when it happened last week: As soon as Saleh came out with his "no playoffs" nonsense, Woody should have been on notice to fire him. The team is not fighting for the playoffs, and has been totally unprepared for the moment. Saleh gave up. And that was his message to the team.

I feel like the best guy has not played at one single point this season when the options were presented. I could go down my Streveler rant but in the end, QBS 1-3 almost never seemed in the right order for any game this year.

GreenFish
I agree with you. Not a fan of Jimmy G. He is too injury prone. I like White as QB2. Have Zach or a rookie as QB3 QB1 is the big question. Carr I think is a good choice. Baker is too risky. I cant see Brady, Geno or Sam coming here.

Saleh will be back. I think there will be a hard look at LaFleur. But they’re certainly going to make changes on the staff specifically in the QB room. They may fire Calabrese or simply shift his role/responsibilities. But you can be sure they’re going to bring in no less than 2 coaches with experience coaching QBs.

Beerfish
I'd be perfectly happy with a total clean sweep. If any one is going to be retained it will be Wilson. At least he is like 23 and the gm who picked him will be hesitant to totally toss him. White, flacco and strev can all go. No matter who they keep of the guys here now none of them had better be the starter, the jets have to go and get someone viable. 1

Beerfish
Rogers wont be available Brady will not come here (which i am fine with as i'd check out if the jets got him) 0% chance lamar becomes available so put that to bed right now. Carr is the logical guy to go after imo.
