@jetsons always confused, lol.  Woody Johnson has been the owner who has overseen the longest playoff drought in franchise history.

Make sense now?

Brainless... Woody makes the hires, he doesn't coach or play... of his time as owner I blame him for gase, the others I had hope for... THEY Failed.... just typical stupidity on your part...

He hires the GMs who hires the HCs.  Or he hires both in some instances.  And in every regime we find out later he meddled in some way.

Organizations rot from the top down.

Again, Woody's not coaching or playing, he hires those who do, who draft & coach those who do... I'll repeat. as the owner of the NYJ's I blame Woody for gase,.. the others I had Hope for... THEY Failed.

He hired Mike Maccagnan when the Texans were about to fire him, lol.  And last I checked Macc is STILL unemployed.  Can’t even get a job as an area scout.

Woody is terrible dude.

Worst GM in NFL history and it isn’t close. Woody has that stain on him forever.

Mccags did Suck... but worst alltime... I don't know... I think this guy earned that award....

Matt Millen, former Detroit Lions GM, gets life-saving heart transplant ...

Millen drafted a HOFer (Megatron) and several other Pro Bowl talents in his tenure.

Macc’s draft record is worse, and his free agency/contracts is even worse than that. Remember Trumaine Johnson, Le’Veon Bell and Quincy Enunwa?

I remember... but Millen had many more higher draft picks which he failed on... him drafting Megatron was a no brainer for anyone, even Mccags... Millen also drafted Joey Harrington, Charles Rogers, Mike Williams, Ernie Simms,...all top 10 picks... even a broken clock is right twice a day.

JD will either make or break this team next 5 years this off season. He has no choice but to go big game hunting for a QB. If you thinking whiffing with the second overall pick is bad for a franchise… try whiffing on a monster FA QB contract…

But, realistically, who?

The big names seem like pipe dreams. Rodgers isn't likely to be available and neither is Lamar. Give me a realistic target.

I have no idea but the net will be wide… let’s hope we don’t haul in a waterlogged boot

Carr feels like the biggest name that is realistic for us

There are a number of decent veteran options

JD preparing a list of QBs that would represent an upgrade

If I had to choose I'd go get Tannehill for next season.

What could have been if we got him as Darnold bust insurance many moons ago… I forget who banged the table for that. Some genius forgotten in the sands of time, perhaps….

This thread got me looking up team records. This is a very bad franchise.

Our golden age was back to back playoff appearances in 08/09 haha. The Jets have had 0 consistency even when they’re good. They’ve won the AFC East twice in 25 years and 0 times in the last 18.

With the cap and constant turnover the only way to be a consistent winner is to have your QB be a top player otherwise you’re settling for blips of success. There’s really no other way.
