Wilson played 9 games has 1600 yards passing. Fields played an entire season and only have 2200 yards passing. Sure, he is dynamic running the ball, but he has yet to prove he can throw the ball well in the NFL.

so does wilson consistently

The embarrassing sh-tshow Chicago (Dante Pettis the current "WR1") has at WR might have something to do with Fields' passing production?

Stats matter, but so does context.

Chicago also calls the fewest pass plays per game.  If they're not dead last, they are close.

While Fields has shown more than Zach, it is nothing great. Runs more than expected taking more hits. This doesnt seem like a long term plan for success. WHile Zach has failed up to this point I still like his athletic ability over Fields long term. Just not sure if NY is the place where Zach finds success

Dude are you  kidding? Look at this shrimp.

Mac didn’t get fired because he drafted Darnold. He got fired because he drafted Darnold in his 4th draft and the team had gotten worse under his tenure.

JD deserves criticism for whiffing on Wilson but comparing him to Mac is ludicrous.

Not really.  Ashtyn Davis, Becton say hi along with Zach

If it gets ugly in Miami and the Jets' draft position goes to the 10/11 range then Woody should really consider cleaning house. The collapse is going to be a live with this regime forever and things will get ugly quickly next year if things start badly.

Not only that but we may very well end up compromising our future just to paper over the cracks. Not sure Douglas/Saleh will be doing their due diligence on the QB's - Levis, Stroud, Richardson etc. -  Even though the former two now look obtainable. If they don't it's completely unacceptable.

I think between their hot seat and the fanbase's PTSD on 1st round QB's we may pass up the most realistic avenue to sustained success to instead massively overpay Carr or Garoppolo. Sickening to think about.
