Warfish
Quote What the hell happened? Attrition. Over time, the talent wasn't deep or strong enough to overcome the consistent challenge of loss by attrition/injury. The running game collapsed due to O-line and RB talent attrition, as well as poor QB play by clearly limited QB's. How many O-line starters did we lose over the year? Feels like all of them. The Defense, valiant much of the year, collapsed under the weight of an unproductive Offense and the loss of QW, who never came back as his pre-injury self. Ultimately, the QB position was the prime culprit. Two very limited QB's in Wilson (a bust) and White (injury and limited arm). Neither of which helped the running game, time of possession, or the Defense. But attrition, the constant loss of talent to injury, and the wearing down of the Defense over time as it was expected to keep opponents to extremely low scores in order to win, caused this Same Old Jetsy collapse. We also were bamboozled by an extremely weak early schedule, and a much more difficult later schedule. We won early against several non-playoff teams fielding #2 or #3 QB's. We lost to playoff bound #1 QB fielding teams later.

Zach spiraling against NE, should’ve been pulled to at least try to get the W. It was painfully obvious he was struggling and all you needed was what, a FG to win? Then White gets hurt, so the rest of your inept QBs step in and fumble things away immediately. Bad coaching takes over in Detroit with the defense and ineptitude with the timeouts. Zach then continues to not be able to throw the ball vs Jax and it just spirals again. When you don’t have a QB that can give you just even the basic throws and you’re down to your 4th QB. Sh*t ain’t gonna go well. And then throw poor coaching on top of that. Voila! Yesterdays game with MW should have showed you that it was much, much more than just the QB. That Seattle defense is bottom 5 in the league, and MW is a competent, yet underwhelming QB. The offense is highly flawed, and barring bringing in a Brady or Rodgers, no QB is going to make this a good offense. Better, sure, but this offense is highly flawed

OC can’t call plays. OL can’t block. Automatic L every week with that.
Skeet Ulrich
It’s been two months since the Jets beat a team not starting their backup QB.
