As of Today, We’re Drafting 13th.

Recommended Posts

Back to our normal discussion… just a few weeks later.

If the season ended today, the Jets would hold the 13th overall pick according to Tankathon. The team is currently tied with the Saints (whose pick belongs to the Eagles), the Titans, and the Browns (whose pick belongs to the Texans). The Jets have the lowest pick in this group because they have played the most difficult schedule. (Ties in the Draft order are different from ties in the standings. They are broken by schedule strength, not head to head matchups.)

Here is the current Draft order.

  1. Houston 2-13-1
  2. Chicago 3-13
  3. Denver (pick traded to Seattle) 4-12
  4. Arizona 4-12
  5. Indianapolis 4-11-1
  6. LA Rams (pick traded to Detroit) 5-11
  7. Atlanta 6-10
  8. Las Vegas 6-10
  9. Carolina 6-10
  10. New Orleans (pick traded to Philadelphia) 7-9
  11. Tennessee 7-9
  12. Cleveland (pick traded to Houston) 7-9
  13. NY Jets 7-9
  14. Washington 7-8-1
  15. Pittsburgh 8-8
  16. Green Bay 8-8
  17. Detroit 8-8
  18. Miami (forfeited pick) 8-8

Lucky 13.  That is where the Rams got Aaron Donald and where the Chiefs got Tony Gonzalez.  And more recently, Rashawn Slater and Tristan Wirfs.

Wikipedia says its also where we got Sheldon Richardson and John Abraham. Abraham was awesome until we of course did what we do.

If only the Jets could’ve taken Wirfs or traded for a boatload of picks and landed Slater.

you guys all take a long look at the 18th pick that is forfeited. thats because Miami talked to Sean Payton while still under contract without permission ..... he is still under contract and if they didnt give Miami permission i doubt they give it to us.

Sean Payton aint happening. but i still expect 20 more threads about getting him before Sunday

You kidding me? This is where the Jets thrive!! Pointless game? Nothing to play for? Better draft position on the line?

They will play with a ton of heart and pull out this win 100%.

Any chance we can get that #1 pick?   Asking for a friend who likes pretzels.

Hey can you do me a favor?

When you paste this stuff in, please hit the paste as plain text. It will be a link right before the post.

The dark mode theme makes it hard to read because it has black letters when posted as formatted text. Trying to find a way to fix that for real. Thanks!

We are cutting Corey Davis.  Draft Levis in round 2.

OL fixes itself if the guys just stay healthy

It is kind of funny because Corey's contract seemed high originally then the WR market went bonkers and his # this year seems reasonable.

Yet he underplayed it and will be a cap casualty.

"A few weeks"?

Draft talk usually ramps up around week 4.  This year it took until week 16.

**** your idealistic feelings.

Players need to provide for their families. Never going to tank cause would hurt themselves.

That being said I hope Mike white plays big and wins big. Then let's everyone know his rib were still bothering him last week and this week for that matter.

But he is looking forward to being 100 percent for the next season as the jets starter. Then Joe goes out and fixed that damn line again and we see where the chips fall.

Yes bet the ranch on a Jets win Sunday, it is what they do best as they have shown time after time winning the last meaningless game of the season to plummet down in the draft.......;)

The SOS tiebreaker is maddening.  It NEVER helps the Jets and this year is no different.

So true, and then when we do pick a year to go 2-14, which in most years would be good enough for the No 1 overall pick, Jacksonville goes 1-15…so jets
