Who should the Jets send to the playoffs?

Fish or Patsies?

Jets can:

1) Go all out, leave everything on the field, trying to deny the Dolphins a playoff spot.  Reward is a bit of tailwind for the offseason, and penalty is is a worse draft position if they win.

2) Mail it in, let the Dolphins walk over them, and deny the Pats.

There area few other variables, but the Jets performance next weekend is the most likely determinant of Wild Card #3.

Which do you like?

Phins.

While I hate them both, the Pats are hated slightly more of late, and have been to the postseason a hell of alot more often.

Phins will self-destruct in the postseason anyway, especially if that try and force Tua to play despite his brain turning to mush.

Best case is sending Pittsburgh and both the Pats and Fish go home for the winter.  But that requires winning Sunday and we know alot of fans will have issue with that.  I see both sides but I don't see the players laying down in any way. Especially guys that are about to be free agents. It's basically a job interview for them and whats best for the playoff less Jets is not really on their mind.

I would have preferred if the Jets decided to send themselves to the playoffs.

I honestly don't care. I hate NE, Miami, AND Pitt. Hate them all. Our season is done and what we do in this game will tell us NOTHING about this team going forward. It's a meaningless game.

This....

I could care less who goes....I'm pissed we're not sending ourselves into the postseason. We couldn't even get to week 18 and make it a win and in game before being eliminated

We have now gotten to this point. I do not think this qualifies as a meaning game down the stretch.

They did lose 4 meaningful games in December.  Only a slight wrinkle in the calender and it would have been 5, which is not easy to do.  Ineptness has to overcome a lot of obstacles to deliver those kinds of results.

My first choice as far as who i want in.

Pittsburgh in and Phins and pats out

my second choice:

Phins in pats out

Above all though a loss helps draft position so that trumps all for me.

I realize my first choice is contradictory to my losing trumps.

I've decided I will be happy with the end result almost no matter what.

If the Patriots win they are in regardless of the outcome of the Dolphins game. If the Patriots lose and the Jets beat the Dolphins it could be the Steelers getting in if they win.

the Steelers must beat the Browns and the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots have to both lose or tie.

Play respectably but lose.  Draft pick escalation, keep Patriots out of playoffs at all costs.

May not be as tough to lose as you may think as the Jets have a lot of free agents to be and Joe D specials with contracts that have easy outs with little cost after 2 years (Corey Davis for example) .  These guys may have good idea that this will be their last game with the Jets and will make "business decisions" to not get hurt in this game.
