Good thing a couple of years ago that the Jets won that meaningless game late in the season to knock themselves to the number two draft pick. Only the Jets could win a meaningless game and cost themselves a future franchise quarterback.

The most Jets thing ever.

wouldnt have mattered, unless we got Pederson, we would be talking about what an awful bust Lawrence was

Why not us?  I've been asking that question for decades when a team which has struggled like us, but takes the leap.  Can't be just the QB position, could it?

its 100% not just the QB position, its the coach. Great coaches have great QB's, Pederson is a great coach, we have a really bad coach, and a realy bad staff, and a really bad QB

There were a few folks here that were proud and happy we won those 2 games that allowed us to pick second…..

It's deeper then just drafting the wrong guy at QB. There's no organizational plan to bring said QB along....

You draft Sam Darnold #3 overall and you don't even have a QB coach for him his rookie year

You draft Zach Wilson #2 overall and you hire the most inexperienced staff you can possibly hire....

The Jaguars not only were savvy enough to throw the back half of the season to get lawrence, they actually had a plan....They tried with Urban and that was a disaster, they didn't panic tho....they cut their losses right away and tried to get Leftwich....that didn't work out, they didn't panic.....they got a SB winning offensive coach in Pedersen who hired an experienced staff....

Jets have missed picks at QB....but there's no organizational plan for a young QB either.....it's no secret why we can't get out of our own way

Prolly, but regardless, their future is a hell of a lot more promising than ours is, great coach, good QB, they can add talent in the right areas they are a contender for years to come.

We have an awful coach, no QB

Yes, the Jets do suck. the jags are 9-8. Gonna get destroyed in the playoffs.

STOP PRETENDING THAT TREVOR LAWRENCE ON THE JETS MEANS sh*t.

If we had their coach, and played Wilson all  season, are we a playoff team as you see it?

The jets did it with matt ryan as well and they did it with nick bosa and lawrence of course.

They are always pulling that crap.

That 2-5 overall range the Jets keep picking QB’s in is QB purgatory. You don’t get the every couple years guy who can overcome a bad situation because if he’s in the draft he’s going first, and the rest of the team is too bad to support the development of a quarterback. It’s not the Jets only who struggle in that range. Lots of quarterbacks drafted there, Ryan and Rivers are the long term hits in the last 20 years. I said it in 2021 and I’ll say it again next time the Jets are picking in the 2-5 range, it’s not the spot or the time in a rebuild to take a QB.

You kind of already said it, but it just depends on who's available....and actually scouting correctly...

and not falling in love with the IDEA of a particular QB, but being honest about the situation he's coming into, and what it will take for said QB to be successful in that situation. JD committed a cardinal sin when he evaluated Wilson.....he let a COVID year and some scripted throws at a pro day skew his judgement

Meh, I disagree. Guys are there who are good at that range, Mahomes was there, Hebert was there, the range has nothing to do with it, its having people in your organization who know what they are looking at, and know how to develop a qb, and know how to build an offense to their players strength, draft range has nothing to do with this
