Popular Post Bugg
Irrespective of Joe Douglas, franchise needs to shake things up. And that's Jon Gruden as HC, and either Rex Ryan or Gregg Williams as DC. Each is right now a pariah with a chip on his shoulder. And as good as anyone else in those jobs that is available. Hiring the next hot coordinator, has not worked. 5 1 5
Popular Post Untouchable
Seriously Before this game, I only wanted to move on if we could get Payton or Harbaugh. Now? I’ll gladly take a chance on Philly’s OC and whoever runs the Steelers scouting department. These dicks are beyond clueless 4 1 1

bd71
I doubt our clown of an owner cleans house. I’m sure shortly after this game, we’ll read that he’s given this staff his full endorsement.

Popular Post jetstream23
I’m not ready to start a whole new rebuild. Changing all the personnel to fit the next coach’s “system.” Going back to a 3-4? Moving away from the Wide/Outside ZBS? This has been a painful 5 weeks but there was progress this year. Can’t discount just how inhibiting the unsettled QB situation has been for this team. Not much consistency at all. And losing 2 of the 3 most talented guys on offense didn’t help. I’d give them all, with the possible exception of MLF, another year. 7

Aussie Jet
Can't keep LaFleur, surely. Saleh is going to have to make the hard call. I think the offensive side of the coaching group needs a real shake-up, based on the on-field performance and based on some posts from some on here about how inexperienced it is. Saleh and Douglas need to make the playoffs next season, and they're not going to do it with this coaching staff.

jetstream23
It will be an interesting offseason on this message board. I’m already hearing people say the Jets are watching Darnold, Geno Smith, etc. succeed and are ready to give up on Zach to watch him succeed somewhere else. We got people wanting to fire Saleh, a second-year HC, like we did with Pete Carroll. People now want Rex back as if the Jets should have never let him go. Nobody preaching any degree of patience? The ending to this season sucked but the Jets started a combination of Zach, White, Flacco and saw progress/growth from guys like Quinnen, Sauce, Garrett Wilson, Huff, etc. and an improvement of their record from last year. If I had to sum up this season it was 3 steps forward but ending the year with 2 steps back. Painful, but progress. 3
Bleedin Green
I know LaFleur is everyone's favorite scapegoat this year, after Ulrich having that honor last year which is a tune that's greatly changed, but in the end that's a rather irrelevant sticking point as that discussion is at the discretion of the higher-level guys who are the ones you really need to decide if they're staying or going. Bottom line, I am totally on board with a complete house-clean of this team, but one option that cannot be on the table is firing the coaching staff and giving the front office yet another pass from their continued incompetence. If anything is happening, it has to be from top to bottom, and JD has to be the first one to go. He's had more chances and screwed them up far more often than not. If you want to get yourself a new set of folks running this team, it has to start there. Otherwise, just give them all one more season to try to prove themselves (and in all likelihood just fire everyone this time next year), but they have to live or die together at this point. Let's not be so mind-numbingly stupid as to repeat the Bowles/Maccagnan bullsh*t all over again. That was handled as badly as possible, and should never happen again.

Our offensive coordinator sucks, too rigid in his scheme, two green to help develop anybody of note… that being said, bring him a mentor, a graybeard who knows his stuff, and can import his wisdom to Mike Leflore
