4 years in and Douglas still has a trash offensive line and the worst QB situation in football.

Yes but let’s not forget that our OL was absolutely decimated by injuries all year. Not saying you don’t have a point but I think it will be better and we probably will draft one at 13 unless the top ones are gone

the jets have to decide who to extend or let test the market.

then there will be cuts

maybe a trade

then free agency

you also have to see pro days and combine work outs

Can’t even say what the shopping list looks like.

Oline would be a good guess but that might be addressed by guy’s getting healthy and free agency so……

DT?

To be fair they did take 2 defensive guys in the first round last year.  They haven’t ignored that side of the ball.

No doubt about it, I just mean that they’re likely going back to the well again for the OLine and possible QB.  After Becton, AVT, Mitchell and signing Laken Tomlinson, Duane Brown, and previously Fant and Morgan Moses…. it just like yet AGAIN they might need to hit OL early.

They’re going to ride with what they have at RB, WR, TE, maybe with just a bit of fine-tuning but I can’t imagine the Jets going into next year thinking that the OL is in good shape.

They do get some players back from injury though becton is on his last leg here pun intended. Hard to see anything but an OL at 13 at this point.

Seriously, drafted one at #4 overall, and late in the 1st round.

Big contracts give out to FA corner and E the past two seasons as well.   It's not like the D has been ignored.

Let’s not make it sound like Becton is some sort of savior.  Even when healthy there was question about whether he’d start at RT or if the Jets even wanted to try moving him to OG, and put AVT at LT, Fant at RT.

The Jets need to build a 2023 OL that includes five guys none of whom are named Becton.  THEN allow Becton to displace one of those guys and earn a starting spot.  He needs to be a nice-to-have, a surprise…. Not a guy the Jets count on to start.

True.  The Jets can’t rely on Becton.  If Becton comes back that’s just gravy but we have to go into the off-season thinking he isn’t going to be healthy

Plus they don’t want him on the left side anyway.  They’ll draft a tackle to play LT and have another competition for RT.  Odds are becton won’t be healthy anyway
