Three year stretch

For the first time in a while we're a team with a lot of young talent.

But we did just crash pretty hard to end the season and Zach Wilson is an epic bust.

The obvious is continuing to bolster the offensive line, and I'd say that's the safest bet to happen.

What gets me nervous is that this regime will be unwilling to cut their losses on Zach.

You conveniently left out that the year before the 2-14 record, the Jets finished 7-9...

So actually 7 wins is their peak for this cycle...

They may actually be heading down from here...

Funny how statistics can be shaped to fit a narrative...

It doesnt work that way. Those players and coaches are long gone

Who here thinks the Jets are trending upwards?

And why.

Me.

Because their win total is increasing while their point differential is improving dramatically.  These are good things and they're doing them.

It's almost as if they have different players now than they did four years ago.

1. It is trending in the right direction.

2. It's not doing so fast enough.

3. This year's collapse, and that several of our wins were primarily about playing #2 or #3 QB's on bad teams, colored the trend value of this third year.

The tweet isn't off base, but it's ignoring that an NFL team is not a Stalin 5 year plan.  Results are expected sooner, not later.

Especially for a team this long out of contention/postseason appearances.

Sssshhhh...I also conveniently ignored the fact that the Jets won seven games in each of their first two seasons and then again this year.  NOTHING HAS CHANGED!

From minus 214 to minus 25 over two seasons isn't fast enough?

To each his own.

It is fast enough .. problem is that the team seemed further along than it was early in the year. Robert decided to juggle QBs instead of letting Zach try to figure things out. The Record is not on Zach my friends ... Check his win loss total .. the problems are deeper than that and on the coaching staff.

We were dead last in our division……. Lost to teams with a back up QB. We have no prospect at QB.

Is there a 24th place trophy we are unaware of???

Teams with slightly better records got into the playoffs.

I think the jags won their division with 9 wins?!?!?

With a few less injuries and average qb play wed be in

get off the ledge!!!!

Agreed.

If you're happy today, I envy you.

At minimum the trend must continue then in 2023.  9+ wins and a postseason berth, or the lot gets fired.

Falling back isn't acceptable.

Honestly, this is the tact I fully expect Woody to take as well.  If JD can't produce a single winning season in five years as GM, I doubt he is retained further.

So I hope they make very good decisions at QB, O-line and training staff this coming off-season.

but again, where are we going to get a QB that would fix the offense?
