Potential OC candidates?

Recommended Posts

I can’t imagine any OC candidate with legit options would want to come here to work with a lame duck Saleh.

Id assume they are looking for someone experienced so probably need to target a guy off a coaching staff that will be fired.

Options:

Marcus Brady/Parks Frazier-Colts OC

Pep Hamilton-Houston Texans

Ben McAdoo-Carolina Panthers

Nathanial Hackett-Denver Broncos

Other options:

Joe Brady: Former Carolina OC current Buffalo QB coach

Mike McCoy: Fomer Chargers HC, Denver OC, Arizona OC current Jacksonville QB coach

Brian Schottenheimer-Former Jets, Seahawks, Jaguars OC current analyst for Dallas Cowboys

Jason Garrett: Former Cowboys OC & HC, Giants OC & currently on TV

Darrell Bevell: Former Seahawks & Jaguars OC & current QB coach for Dolphins

Tom Clements: Former Bills and Packers OC, Current QB coach for Green Bay Packers (69 years old and probably not leaving Green Bay)

Karl Dorrell: Former Jets WR coach, Fired as HC of Colorado and UCLA

Chad Oshea: Former Dolphins OC and current Cleveland Browns WR coach.

Greg Olson: Former OC Raiders and current offensive assistant with Rams

Pat Shurmur: Former Broncos & Vikings OC & Browns and Giants HC

Matt Nagy: Former Bears HC

Nobody is getting fired.  I would be shocked of that happened. Woody isn't  Dan Snyder.

Always liked kubiak

Had  some health issues awhile back so hope he is going well

Jake Asman recommended Kubiak as well.

To me, I think if we're keeping Saleh that we should let him pick his staff (in conjunction with JD).

If Saleh wants to stick with MLF then he's on the hook for that decision.

That's kind of a nasty list, I think we have to wait a bit longer to see who else shakes lose when we get more firings.

I still like Joe Brady a lot.  He was so damn good at LSU

Perhaps Monken wants to come back to the NFL?

I don’t think Monken would come here. The Jets are going to be in the market for veteran OCs that are looking for a pay bump and don’t have opportunities elsewhere.

People don’t see Reich here and are fumbling for solutions just to end up with suggesting Reich again anyway.

all the people crying for MLF have no realistic solutions just wanna cry and fire people without solving problems. Same people wanted to fire Ulbrich last year but at least then there were plenty DC options. This makes even less sense than that.

Get a QB (Carr, Jimmy G, Lamar) and fix o-line. You can’t half ass a system - Saleh will sink or swim off if QB gets settled not OC. Give him his shot to call it how he sees fit and if he doesn’t get it done next year fire em! But don’t cut his legs from under him by installing A new offense or voice on offense. Just Get a ****in QB for the love of god.

Monken would be cool, but like others I doubt he leaves what he has a Georgia to come playcall for a lame duck HC

I'll add to this list:

Brian Johnson QB Coach, Philadelphia Eagles

Young coach at 35 who's already gaining respect around the league. Adam Schefter had him on his podcast and said he's gonna be a surprise candidate for HC interviews this cycle.

- Responsible for Jalen Hurts' development over the last 2 years and helping to develop that RPO offense with Shane Steichen and Nick Sirianni

- Former Florida OC under Dan Mullen. Had one of the most explosive offenses in the NCAA with Kyle Trask, Kyle Pitts and Kadarius Toney(Any Gators fans wanna chime in with some intel?)

- Former Miss. St. OB Coach under Mullen. Helped develop Dak Prescott in College.

- Former QB coach and offensive coordinator at Utah.

if Saleh is in a do or die year let him go to war with his guy.

this is a list of retreads. guys who fans just like us hated and wanted them gone. why give them another shot? to see if they learned something? well MLF has been here 2 years lets see if he leaned anything. lets see what he does with a better QB.

if we fire him and get a better QB you guys will all think it was the new OC that got our offense running good and not the new QB.
