That reminds me...gotta cancel Directv today...I wonder how much I've spent since 1997 to watch crappy Jets football.

I'd imagine I could have a few PSL for the amount I've paid to Directv

Yea, I canceled direct tv years ago. I figured out multiple ways to watch the games over the years. This year, used a VPN and bought NFL gamepass. Got to watch a legitimate live stream and have access to every gamethis year w/ redzone for $87. Everywhere else has had easy access to the games but US citizens. If you live anywhere else, you can buy a gamepass subscription for a fraction of the price.

The problem is that he's only had one good season and he's going to want to be paid at or near the top of the market. If Douglas wants to wait to see if they get two good years out of him, he'll end up paying more.

Personally I think the risk is worth the contract. QW is driving the DL performance far more than anybody else on the roster.

Lol he literally came out today and said pay me or else not showing up to OTAs.

He humbly answered direct questions about his contract situation. You make it sound like he came out making threats. He did answer "yes' to the question  of whether he'd skip the voluntary program if a contract wasn't done. He didn't say "GIVE ME A CONTRACT OR ELSE" ?

Absolutely.

I think its reasonable, although not claiming Q is easily replaceable.

I could imagine QW+1st+3rd for Lamar?

Zero idea what compensation for something like that would look like.

Yeah, this isn’t going to end well.

Next comes the anti QW propaganda campaign by the Jets FO to their lackeys in the media.
By April more than half the board will buy in and Q will have become the greedy bad guy.

Nobody hates paying their best players like Jet fans do. I can hear it now…. ”it was a contract year” “we can’t pay a DT that kinda money” the cap, oh the cap” “what about the OL”

I’m going to disagree. I think we are all pretty close on his value. Anyone who isn’t is just a booger eater.

1) It's rare when a player has the hammer in terms of negotiating leverage.  Though I'm not thrilled that this had to be communicated publicly the day after the season ended, Q has all of the leverage on this and is deserving of a large contract.

2) I used to like Rich Cimini's work once upon a time but it seems like all he's interested in these days is stirring up trouble whenever he gets a chance.  I believe he had the initial question to Quinnen on this topic and is cranking the tweets on this subject.

That's what a LOT of people said about Mo Wilkerson.

You can’t be petrified of paying every player on the team.

With Donald on the way out, he’s arguably the best interior DL in the league and he hasn’t even hit his prime yet.

He’s a true cornerstone piece on the defense along with Sauce and Reed.

You keep him, period.
