The man is right, first order of business should be his extension

Hmmm....I have no issues with Q, nor the contract he's going to demand.

The problem is, through no fault of his own, that Zach looks like a bust at this point which leaves a gaping hole at QB.  Hard for me to see where the NYJ will get necessary cap $ for a QB that we're all discussing while throwing upwards of $30mill/yr at Q and then still needing to fill holes on the OL and D.

Zach busting is a big deal...if he was a performing on his rookie contract the NYJ would have a LOT more flexibility....but in this instance, Q may be a necessary trade chip to get more players, and sign a QB.

Can’t players do this not online or in the media. Just let your agent deal with it without announcing it.

I'm not even sure why this is 'news' lol.  If I didn't have a contract in Q's situation I wouldn't show up for 'voluntary' crap either.  It's the man's livelihood...why risk injury without a deal?  This is what I would expect any sane person to say.

One day after the season ends? What "voluntary" crap?

What do you think Robert Wood Johnson IV is thinking about Quinnen Williams, who did not make the Pro Bowl his first three years, and brought a loaded gun to LaGuardia Airport?    He paid Mo Wilk and got burned.  He dealt with Sheldon Richardson and his pot filled Bentley.  He probably should have paid paid Leo considering he traded him for Ashtyn Davis.   He got royally jerked around by Darrell Revis.

Second contracts have not been good to Robert Wood Johnson IV.   They are just opportunities to embarrass himself.  Failed draft picks are easier to swallow.

If Garrett Wilson has 2 more years like the last one, we are talking.  Quinnen?  I like him playing his 5th year option, and then maybe franchise tagging him if we need him to compete in 2024.  Otherwise trade for the perpetual rebuild.

Issues being what? That they’re actually good and deserve to be paid?

yes they deserve to be paid.....but what I meant is that if the wheels fall off and we lose Q, having an NFL best secondary will help ease the pain. Sauce and company can lock down receivers giving the Dline (whoever we have up there) an extra second or two to get to the QB. So even A- or B+ type Dlineman can feast from time to time, The only thing we really lose are those late game moments when we MUST get a stop...that's Quinnen's territory.

Actually, there is nothing more annoying and idiotic than listening to 90% of the idiotic stuff fans get annoyed about.

Well this is extra annoying to me since the name of the camp is VOLUNTARY which means the player has a choice....it's kinda like getting mad at a co-worker for not wanting to work overtime.

Don't think so.  Way too many needs for the team to pay a position that doesn't score points.

Don't see JD handcuffing himself that way.

Because stopping points from being scored isn’t as important as scoring points

At some point you have to resign and keep your best players.

No QB, No #1 WR, maybe no #1 RB, inept OLine

We have a lot of pressing needs on the other side of the ball.
