Facts
Say the Ravens are willing to trade Lamar for: - Sauce - 1st round pick - 2nd round pick Would you do it? PS, to those who think that we can just get him in free agency, you’re smoking crack. Baltimore can franchise tag him for two more years and will do so if need be. 5 3 8 5

Hael
Yes! You happily give up some combination of your best players (Quinnen/Sauce/Wilson/Breece) for a franchise qb. Its just that simple. QBs are the rarest commodity out there, and at any time there are only a handful of them that can win a superbowl. Lamar has a 5 year span, barring injury, where he is capable of doing just that. But make no mistake, the Ravens would never allow that to happen. 2 6

Here’s a better question no one seems to want to answer. If they do let it happen, what’s the reason? A team like the Ravens aren’t going to let a bonafide franchise QB walk away for something as simple as money, right?

Hasn’t had a great/finished season in 2 years. Will have to be paid like a top 3 QB in the league when he’s not even in that realm. Fans are desperate I guess. 2

Why don’t you think the Ravens want to give him the contract he’s seeking? They want that ever so valuable cap space? At the expense of a franchise QB?

toonman 88
trading a core of great promising young players for a qb that hasnt really proved anything in this league yet sounds absurd.mahomes or allen i would be all for.

Integrity28
No. Why? Draft capital plus cap space s too much. We can get adequate production from other options for far less cost. Also… He doesn’t stay healthy.

SickJetFan
sure if you want to go back to last place in defense and have your QB always playing from behind...I think Lamar would make a great interception machine.

extmenace
No. Lamar is an entertaining and fun player to watch. He’s got a skill set that can win games but his skill set also makes him one of the most likely players at his position to be injured. His playing style won’t age well. While I do not think the ravens will make him available, hypothetically, if he was available, the cost to get him will be too high. The injuries are piling up now. I don’t think you can push all in with him and lose a ton of resources in the process and expect to have a good all around team. go get a lower priced vet (carr, jimmy g, Tannenhill or someone similar), resign white and continue to try to develop Wilson. If this team can make a playoff run in 2023, you can worry about drafting another qb in 2024 and let him sit behind whatever vet that was brought in during 2023 for a season. We’d also get to see our backup QB in action for 5 games a year. As if he’s going to miss less games as he gets older and gains more mileage. He’s going to have to improve a lot as a passer.

Untouchable
No, and I’m not trading Quinnen for him either. I get that Lamar is an electrifying player, but I’m not giving up foundational pieces of the team when we could get an above average starter like Garoppolo or Carr without giving up jacksh*t but Woody’s cash.
