OtherwiseHappyinLife
The Jets are EXPERTS at knowing how to lose. 1. JFM’s 2 killer late hits against Cincy and NE 2. CJ Mosley’s STUPID 4th down offsides end of first half at Buffalo 3. Braxton Berrios’ heart breaking dropped TD against the Vikings 4. Corey Davis’ mind boggling 4th quarter penalties (Cincy, other) 5. Braden Mann’s untimely shanks and misdirected or easy to return punts (Ravens, NE, Lions) 6. Michael Carter’s crushing 4th quarter fumble (Bills) 7. Robert Saleh’s ultra conservative 4th quarter 4th down FG (Bills) and negligent end of game clock management (Lions) 8. George Fant’s league leading penalty percentage (avg 1 per game) That’s excluding the QBs. Every year. Rinse. Repeat. What is the solution? Ron Rico
Art Modell's solution was to move the team from Cleveland to Baltimore.

y2k8
Score more touchdowns. That's it. A decent QB and better line play should result in 3 TDs a game and 11 or 12 wins with this defense.

usanyj
The hope is that this year was the audition. They have to learn how to close. You hear "experts" talk all the time about young teams not knowing how to finish games. This was a young team with no QB who came close to winning a bunch of games. Get a real vet QB in here, the young guys with a year under their belts, and the hope would be they become ready and the window opens next year. From your list Mann, Davis, Berrios are not on the team next year. Find better, smarter players and coach them to success. It's not that complicated in theory but has proven to be for this organization.
peebag
Not having a credible QB is such a hamstring to a team.
