Popular Post Barry McCockinner
For the cap nazis: Cap numbers for the next 2 years if traded (prorated bonus goes to cards) 2023: 19,450,000 2024: 14,915,000 Cutting Davis & Berrios would save over 15mm in 2023 cap. He is 30 years old which tends to be sort of a cliff for WR's. Even so, this is a clear upgrade over Davis. I wonder what kind of value he'll pull in trade. 11

For WRS after 30 it’s the speed that usually gets effected. Hopkins isn’t a fast guy. He’s more of a possession receiver. The dip may not be as drastic for him. Sign me up depending on how much it will cost. A 3rd? Sure

To me you have to take the best available OT at #13. 5 1

Rhg1084
I think it makes a lot of sense. DHop, GW and Elijah would make for a great trio for any veteran QB. Not to mention Breece coming back as well 2 2

rex-n-effect
I don't hate it but it only makes sense if Douglas takes care of the OL and QB first. A good OL and functional QB will do more to improve the offense than a good WR diving at dirt balls.
Aussie Jet
I would happily jettison Corey Davis for Hopkins if the trade price is right. Would be a major upgrade to the wide receiver room, even if it is only for a couple of years. Hopkins has never made bank on the basis of his speed, unlike someone like Hill. Further, unlike Deebo Samuel, Hopkins isn't made from glass and is generally dependable to be available on any given Sunday. Adding Hopkins means that opponents won't be automatically rotating their top cover guy onto G Wilson. Opens up opportunities for Wilson and Elijah Moore, plus Breece Hall when he's back. I wouldn't want to give the Cardinals more than a third round pick but if he's available and Douglas can get a deal done, then pull the trigger. 4

JoeNamathsFurCoat
Hard pass Expensive, over the hill and physically breaking down Save the money for Derek Carr GW is your chain mover What the Jets really need is a lid-lifting deep threat to open up the running game
Beerfish
We have had two can't do players in mims and moore the last two years so getting a can do player would be a good thing. As with all things the cost to get him is a factor. Everyone has a price point.
Jeff Spicoli
I would do it in a heartbeat but I get people not wanting him. We so need a WR that can just go up highpoint and come down with those 50/50 balls, Him and Wilson would be a sick WR corps. Give Eli Moore his wish and send him and a 4th to the desert for D Hop.
