Oh, STFU Steve.

Steve should put his money where his mouth is and apply for the Jets OC job.  Steve Young, Chris Simms, 50% of this messageboard are all saying Zach being terrible was entirely Lafleur’s fault — Surely Steve Young as the OC will develop Zach into Aaron Rodgers 2.0

Not the OC but the QB Coach, that would be a good position for him.

It’s come out LeFired wasn’t talking to Zach and had a closed door.   That’s insane for a rookie QB.

Do you have a source for that? Was LAF any different with other QBs? Not saying this isn't true, I don't know. But does feel like SOMEBODY has now decided to dirty up the reputation of Mike Lafleur on his way out. Gee, who might have a reason to blow out his candle in hopes his own might shine brighter?

Could have been weeks during the season Wilson wasn't active or injured. Should Lafluer during preps for those weeks indulge Wilson?

All this 2nd hand stuff , on the sly, using Steve Young ; if Team Wilson wants to make sure their boy has a short career, keep it up. Better have invested that $ wisely.

“Zach doesn’t need tough love. He doesn’t need somebody to see how tough he is. He needs a big brother — a young, knowledgeable innovator, someone who he can trust and says to him, ‘You know what, despite everything that’s happened, Zach, I believe in you. You can get this done.’ Zach needs that,”

Holy sh*t. It’s parody at this point. Get this Gen Z puss so far the **** off of my football team that I’d need to buy a satellite dish to ever see him play football again. I never, ever, ever want to hear or read anyone blaming “coaching” for Zach Wilson being an abject failure ever again. The kid is just a straight-up mama’s boy bitch

Maybe we all expect these are all rough tough football players but they are all different and some need better teachers in order to succeed. Remember Richard Todd? I don’t think any qb could be tougher since he came from a bear Bryant team but he lost quite a bit when Walton became coach. Prior to that he had Walton to air his issues with. After Walton he had no one. Well maybe kotite or bratkowski but those guys were very much old school.

at this juncture it seems pretty obvious milf did not coach up the players. And his assistants were probably kept out of the loop too. It doubtful that lafleur had any control over them too.

Does Steve Young realize in his attempt to save Zach's reputation, that he's making Zach look like a huge entitled pusswah who is not fit for the NFL or any career that involves pressure?

He doesn’t need somebody to see how tough he is.

What’s striking is that this is the official defense of Zach’s career—that his coaches weren’t nice enough to him. Young has a law degree. This is what they’re building their case on—that Mike LaFleur was too hard on him. You can’t make this up.

Which makes you wonder, did he or his team bring ask to bring in John Beck last year because Lil Mikey was too mean and they needed a cushion between them?  smh

I’d imagine it was like flying someone’s favorite cousin in to stage an intervention. Beck has been Wilson’s QB coach for years and needs to protect the grift, like when wealthy parents hire a voice coach for their wholly untalented kid. I thought it was fun this season when they brought him in for a day and he was like “Yeah, good luck” before hopping back onto the plane. The owner is out on Zach, the coach is out on Zach, and now we’re down to Steve Young trying to dictate who takes over at OC.
