Popular Post Bugg
Once again we are told there must be some magical unicorn coach who can unlock the wonderous potential greatness of Zach Wilson, if only he tells him the most sagacious advice, delivered with hugs, hot cocoa and attaboys. Sure. that will solve the bounce passes and the fleeing backward in the face of a pass rush, I guess? Lafleur may have been a bit off putting, not warm and fuzzy, who knows. But there's nobody saying he was a screaming lunatic ogre. And if Team Wilson wants to start accusing Lafleur of that, expecting the "coaching community" is not going to take kindly to such slagging of Lafleur. Wilson is well on his way to establishing himself as a coach killer. That is not a good thing. 9

But does feel like SOMEBODY has now decided to dirty up the reputation of Mike Lafleur on his way out. Gee, who might have a reason to blow out his candle in hopes his own might shine brighter? Could have been weeks during the season Wilson wasn't active or injured. Should Lafluer during preps for those weeks indulge Wilson? All this 2nd hand stuff , on the sly, using Steve Young ; if Team Wilson wants to make sure their boy has a short career, keep it up. rangerous
Maybe we all expect these are all rough tough football players but they are all different and some need better teachers in order to succeed. Remember Richard Todd? I don’t think any qb could be tougher since he came from a bear Bryant team but he lost quite a bit when Walton became coach. Prior to that he had Walton to air his issues with. After Walton he had no one. Well maybe kotite or bratkowski but those guys were very much old school. at this juncture it seems pretty obvious milf did not coach up the players. And his assistants were probably kept out of the loop too. It doubtful that lafleur had any control over them too. 1

Better have invested that $ wisely. Yeah it’s been mentioned in passing in a bunch of places. I’ll tag you if I see it again. I don’t like hunting for stuff that’s been mentioned a bunch of times. MiLF Was in over his head and hired an inexperienced QB coach who was trying to grow into a future genius OC. Mike Whjte sucked in camp. Heard the beat reference they had seen obvious progress in a question to Saleh and he acknowledged it. They pulled Mike Whjte out to “work on the side” and he got better. Once he goes back in he started regressing too. It wasn’t all ribs he was inaccurate before the big hit. The short ball inaccuracy was new for White and eye opening. They were horrible with the QBs. This doesn’t make Zach magically good but having incompetent coaching your first 2 years in the NFL does matter. 1

Young has a law degree. This is what they’re building their case on—that Mike LaFleur was too hard on him. Beck has been Wilson’s QB coach for years and needs to protect the grift, like when wealthy parents hire a voice coach for their wholly untalented kid. I thought it was fun this season when they brought him in for a day and he was like “Yeah, good luck” before hopping back onto the plane. The owner is out on Zach, the coach is out on Zach, and now we’re down to Steve Young trying to dictate who takes over at OC. 3
