What we learn from this is that a quarterback can come from up much later around than anticipated and that’s a good thing. 9 1 1

Popular Post Aussie Jet
Purdy was very mediocre in the first half. Wasn't accurate and made some poor decisions. But he didn't turn it over. Second half, the Niners made adjustments, the Seahawks couldn't keep up and then shot themselves in the foot with the Geno fumble and Geno interception. Purdy is a competent quarterback but this is all down to the system that Shanny runs and the talent around Purdy, plus a sturdy offensive line that keeps his pocket clean. There was one point in the game where the pocket collapsed and Purdy ran backwards out of the pocket, which is something that we gave hell to Wilson for doing. 6 1 1

Popular Post Beerfish
What utter bull. Purdy is nothing special, the niners are. Niners defense is much better than jets AND they constantly create turnovers. Niners have a TE weapon, RB weapon and the best run after the catch guy in the league in deebo Niners have a VASTLY better oline and vastly better coaching. Put Brock Purdy on the Jets and he is Mike White 12 1
Maynard13
Yep. He has an average arm but an ensemble of weapons. Any team that's going to challenge them is going to have to run run run and dominate time of possession. Like the Giants did to the Bills in the SB. They just have to many weapons to keep in check in a shootout.
rangerous
I think this says more about the shanahan system and the surrounding talent on offense than it does about Purdy. Is it the teacher or the student? Considering that Mims and Moore were put into the dog house and the receiver coach found time to go golfing as well as gamble kind of says the teacher had some issues.

Barry McCockinner
It's a lot easier to play QB when everything else around you is strong. Strong o-line, elite RB, strong WR's, elite TE, elite play calling. It's a team game. Brock is playing well but we don't know what he'd do in the same situation here.

So much of the QB position is confidence. When you have free rushers coming at you 70% of the plays, and you don't know on which play the free rushers are going to come in and break 5 ribs at once, your confidence as a QB goes way down. These guys are not robots. When you have a great oline that you can trust, its a lot easier to develop confidence as a QB. Despite the dumbness of JN, this is the reality 2
Rangers9
It’s 7 games for Purdy but he’s gone into a starting role and unlike almost every QB in the NFL he knows how to run the offense and very few learning issues of a young QB. It’s early in his career he’s not a slam dunk yet but when most young QBs need at least 12 starts to learn how to play the position this guy so far is doing it from day 1. He was a good QB at Iowa State and good enough to make the 49ers out of training camp but no one including him expected this. Many players maybe Zach can’t acclimate to the NFL and this guy so far looks like a natural.
