He should take 3 years guaranteed money at a Tier 2 salary so that the Giants can sign supporting players. If necessary Franchise him. Barkley is a chess piece for a team that is not paying a QB. The Giants can no longer afford him if they have to pay Jones. In today’s NFL you pay Jones, not Barkley. The Jets can and should put a 3 x $35mm bid for Jones, and Carr for that matter. Seems like a low volume/low efficiency passer. He’s an effective runner, but I am not sure how sustainable that is. He’s not a dynamic athlete like Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, or Jalen Hurts. Kirk is a choker but at least he's put together multiple big passing seasons. The next time Jones passes for 3500 yards will be his first.
