Tune in to 10:00 for ZW talk

Highlights: Saleh’s go to the beach advice is terrible. Says Zach needs to eat, sleep, breathe football as his career is on the line.

Said he needs to stop talking and doing interviews. Nothing he is going to say will help him

Leaf lives in NY and talks regularly with Mike White

Shut up bust!

There is no universal advice that can be given to fix Zach's issues, and if there was, Saleh and Leaf would be the last ones I'd want to hear it from.

Actually I think Leaf was spot on with his advise for Zach. He needs to be all about football now. I also agree that next season is make or break for him.

What’s wrong with that?

I realize everyone hates the kids guts right now, but c’mon.

It wasn't  what he should have said. He's  coming off cocky. It would have been better to say I can only worry about things I can control and that is being the best QB I can be on the Jets. What the Jets do at the QB position is what they do.

Sure he might be, but for Zach maybe even when he is all about football he’s just going through the motions and not actually processing anything, who knows.

it's not exactly good teammate talk

in fact, if any other NFL player said it they'd be skewered

Why in the hell are dissecting the grammar of every comment Zach makes. All he means clearly is that he will be ready for the competition and play well enough to make it hard for the new QB to beat him. But he uses slightly aggressive language and people pile on. The irrational hate for Zach is something to behold. Seems like fans want to take every bad thing from the last 14 years and blame Zach

Zach Wilson is INFINITELY better than Ryan Leaf

2 TDs 15 picks there isn’t a planet where these guys are the same

smarten up

Just like Leaf, Zach Wilson is not even a capable back up in the NFL.   I'd be surprised if Zach is in the league as long as Leaf.

They are different in that I don't think Zach will get himself arrested after his short NFL stint.

I’d bet the house Zach is in the league a lot longer than Leaf.  He alienated everyone and was a criminal for bonus points.

It’s the best teammate answer to a question directed at his career.  He’s going to do all he can to win his job back, to push whoever is brought in?  That’s going to piss teammates off?  Why?   They wouldn’t want a backup to push the starter?  Because what, that’s only good for the Mike Whites of the world?

And why tell us hasn’t a teammate skewered him these last couple of weeks, what’s the delay?  Because his uncle used to be the head of JetBlue?Because it will never happen, he said nothing wrong

Leaf’s advice should carry at least as much weight, if not more, than QBs that were successful.

Leaf explaining what he would have done differently is probably helpful, a “do-over.”
