And we get the Titans OL coach since 2018 in the same role and run game coordinator? Rodgers is a done deal and Breece Hall may go off for 2,000 yards.

I am a fan of this

is rodgers needed if the plan is just to give it to breece?

So... correct me if I'm wrong, but we'll still see a predominantly zone blocking scheme from a group of offensive lineman who can't stay on the field for more than a few weeks at a time.

An all-WCO offense, or will they sprinkle in some more RPO?

Is Marrone coming? Aren't these guys close buds?

Guys that are OCs for the Rodgers, Mannings, and Brady.. it’s easy to look good when you have a generational type QB under center.

this is him as a playcaller - show me the generational QB he had?

Saleh’s hiring strategy: “What veteran OC can we hire that won’t present any threat whatsoever to me as HC?”

Saleh knows he’s gone if he doesn’t make the playoffs, regardless of who OC is. Don’t think that went into the process.

I refuse to dislike him just because of his last name. At the very least, this will make the Jets a more attractive destination for Rogers. That's something.

He is certainly well qualified, which is more than we can say about some of the other names we've seen. Based on what the Jets have said, they will likely hire another assistant, other than a position coach. Let's see who that is if they do it. For now, I will take a "wait and see" stance.

New York Jets @nyjets

We've hired Keith Carter as our offensive line coach and run game coordinator.

As a coach:

UCLA (2005)
Student assistant

Wagner (2006)
Tight ends coach

University of Redlands (2007–2008)
Offensive line coach

San Diego (2009)
Tight ends coach

San Diego (2010–2011)
Offensive line coach

Seattle Seahawks (2012–2013)
Offensive quality control coach

San Jose State (2014)
Offensive line coach

Atlanta Falcons (2015–2016)
Assistant offensive line coach

Atlanta Falcons (2017)
Running backs coach

Tennessee Titans (2018–2022)
Offensive line coach

At Downingtown High School, Carter was a three-year starter as a tight end and defensive end. He was recruited to play tight end by Gary Bernardi at UCLA. After redshirting his first year, but he was awarded the Charles Pike Memorial Award for his help with the scout team. In 2002, he played in nine games starting three of them. He also took snaps that season as a blocking running back. In April 2003, Carter plowed into the back of a car on his motorcycle ending his playing career.

For the haters in the house who say the Jets are always settling for scraps. They got their guys and one of them was highly sought after and chose the Jets

Is that the Kevin Carter who was a really good DT years ago?

Wasn’t he the OC with the jags when the jags made the AFCCG?

My position.

This is sorta wack hire however really pales in comparison to the primary aspect that will make or break this team which is who will be our QB. So really I’m indifferent - just get Carr, Rodgers, or Lamar.

He was so incompetent in Denver. Feels kinda gross. But if it gets Rodgers here, shrug.

People rise to the level of their incompetence.

Being an OC and HC are two very different things. Plus, he has a lot to prove. I like the hire.

It’s really, really hard to get kicked out of the NFL Good Ole Boys Club.

I agree generally with your point and this guy may have been a crappy head coach but was a very successful OC, at least with Rodgers. We could have done much worse.

Nice, all bottom half of the league rankings except for one season. Sounds about right.

i've been on record here saying that the options weren't better than MiLF was.  i'll be happier with this if Rodgers comes here next.
