Popular Post Integrity28
The way I'm viewing this off-season, I feel like we should "buy" the OL we need/want. I'm very hopeful that we use draft capital to acquire Aaron Rodgers, so I'm not thinking we draft anyone as a plug-and-play starter. Fix the effing OL: Let Fant, McGovern, Ogbuehi and Feeney walk Re-sign Herbig as depth OT target: Orlando Brown Jr. with the intent to have Duane Brown as depth, Mehki to compete for RT with Max Mitchell Plan B for tackle: RT Mike McGlinchey with the intent to have Max Mitchell as depth, with Duane Brown and Mekhi at LT C target: Jason Kelce, guy is older but the best C in football and a culture-maker Plan B for center: Rodney Hudson, OG target: Ben Powers with the intent of playing him on the right side, Laken on the left and using AVT at one of the tackle positions Plan B for guard: Dalton Risner Potential outcome: Orlando Brown, AVT, Kelce, Powers, McGlinchey RB depth: Targets guys who can carry the load in-needed, but are ideally not going to get start $. This gives us insurance for Breece and fills the talent gap behind him, because I'll be honest Bam was the best option, but we need at least 2 guys at all times. Names I think fit the strategy: D'earnest Johnson, Donta Foreman, Dontrell Hilliard, Alexander Mattison (there are a ton of FA RB this year, so there's going to be quite a shuffle around the league) I think Kareem Hunt, Saquon, Jamaal, Josh Jacobs, Mile Sanders, Tony Pollard, Montgomery, and Singletary all get paid like starters WR depth: FA class sucks here At best, you get someone like Darius Slayton just to punt Braxton Berrios to the moon, the target here would be a guy who can spot-start and play special teams (which I think Slayton excels at?) Maybe if we get A-Rod we add Lazard, but I'm not high on him as a starting option QB: I like the idea of acquiring Aaron Rodgers, even if it cost our first rounder I also like the idea of keeping our first rounder and adding David Carr or Jimmy G I'm not sure what it'd take to get Lamar, but this to me seems like the least likely thing to happen I like guys like Brisset, Minshew and Darnold, but if this is the path we pursue then **** everything else I've wasted my time typing up Secondary: Assuming we spent a ton on OL, there's still got to be a plan to upgrade FS Lamarcus Joyner I think the guy to get here is Jordan Poyer, but I'd be very happy with Jessie Bates III or Jimmie Ward I believe the rest of this position group must be built out of the draft, you cannot 'buy' everything Linebacker: Kwon and Quincy are both due to UFA Unless you can bag a guy like Lavonte David or Tremaine Edmunds, I think you try to fill this with guys that can do their job well - as we've done the past couple years Edge and DL: I like most of who we've got on roster, but... I wouldn't say no to Daron Payne or Javon Hargrave, and if they wanted to just add a veteran EDGE like Justin Houston to the rotation, that'd be t!ts

Jimmy 2 Times
They could sign one of those lineman not “potentially” four. Imo I hope it’s McGlinchey. They can draft another receiver in round one and a center in the second. 2

Either way, these are targets, not all the guys I think we can get. That’s not realistic. 1
playtowinthegame
Saquon Barkley's father and life-long New York Jets fan, Alibay Barkley, says he won't be adding a New York Giants tattoo above his Jets tattoo. Alibay said he had a dream his son played for the Jets and won a Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers wearing No. 12 for the Jets. I want Saquon Barkley to pair with Breece Hall. 1

This board has quite the off season imagination. I really like it, 1

Beerfish
I'll say one thing I would far far prefer to sign a top end FA DT like Payne than to draft one high. Poyer is just hat we need. Oline is going to be interesting. I think we use a draft pick for our center replacement. Wr is another issue lousy FA market, draft one I suppose. If either Mims or Moore had not looked mostly crap this year things would be a lot easier. We also have to be aware that to get cap space we will create a few holes. ILB is the prime target here, you can get good play out of a fa or a lower draft pick for a passable ilb.

You know if I hadn’t written it that way, I’d have been chewed apart for shooting too low.

rangerous
I mostly like the plan. I Ike power at safety. I’d rather not see Carr, brisket or darnold at qb. The other guys are good and I’d throw in Winston. If geno can turn his attitude around then a guy like Winston can too.
Sammybighead
Love the guys you mention. Don't think it's possible, but love it. Orlando brown probably will be franchised, no? He'd be my priority otherwise. Love Payne as well but I think the commanders are prioritizing him and can't see us paying an interior dlineman in same off season we pay Q.

I’m not worried about his finances and the salary cap is only restrictive to GMs that shouldn’t have been promoted to the job.
