So about Jimmy G staying in SF....

I don't think JG is still happy about the team burning all that draft capital to hopefully displace him, and then put the squeeze on him to take a big pay cut late in the offseason.

The only way he'd return to SF is if he couldn't find work elsewhere. That team is committed to getting someone else behind center, and JG knows it.

Jimmy G is getting another top paying job.  The NFL is that desperate.  It may not be in a nice place, but he will get something.  If he wants to be a Jet and enjoy NYC, it’s his for the taking.

6-7 months seems optimistic.

MLB pitchers are more like a year to 18 months to be up to full strength.

Even if he has the torn ligament repaired (6-7 month rehab) rather than having it replaced (15-18 month rehab) he won’t be able to make throws outside the numbers or into tight widows.
