Instead of SF we need to model ourselves after the Eagles

True, they are stacked. But seeing 4 guys with 12+ sacks in something I dont think Ive seen before

Most sacks since the 84 Bears i believe.

That team is so well put together.   Oh, and they have 2 first rounders again next year.

But but but he drafted Carson Wentz with the #2 pick.  Why wasn't he held accountable for this epic fail?  Why wasn't he fired for bringing in a small college QB and thinking he was the real deal?  You mean a GM can actually, like, improve with time on the job?  It's not apparent after three drafts whether he is good or not?  I'm so confused.

Carson Wentz was an MVP front runner the year he got injured and the Eagles made the playoffs three straight years with him. I agree with your general point and I like JD but Zach was a significantly worse blunder.

Moving down in the draft has been huge for the Eagles. Turned the sixth pick in 2021 and Wentz into DeVonta Smith and two extra first round picks in 2022. The three first round picks in 2022 turned into Jordan Davis, AJ Brown, and the tenth pick in 2023 from the Saints.

They're done an awesome job building up front on both sides but also acquiring playmakers. Really well built team.

No the bigger blunder was not bringing an experienced OC and decent vet quarterback to start (or at least offer real competition in camp) while Zach sat and watched from the bench until at least half way through the season.  That is how you set up your young quarterback to succeed rather than fail.

You guys love to way overcomplicate this. Get really good coaches in here and let them figure it out. We don't need to model ourselves after anyone, we need good coaches and a good GM who can work together to develop a team rowing in sync. We have neither. Youre not going to model after a good franchise with a bad coaching staff and bad gm

I've never been the biggest fan of the "model" thing people always talk about. You want to be first, not one of the many copy cats.

Draft and develop good players, avoid overpriced/over the hill veterans, find a good QB. Win. No model required.

Yes, the Eagles are stacked. Let's get stacked. Our defense is close. Need the QB and OL.

Have an aging  roster with one of the easiest schedules in the league with a qb on his rookie contract who’s playing well is generally a path to success. Easiest path to the superbowl that I can remember by far  also

Perhaps. The NFC had a down year and they beat Jones and Purdy/Josh Johnson in the playoffs.

On the other hand, their roster is lit and they have beat the sh*t out of basically everybody. They outscored their NFC playoff opponents 69-14, have a +133 point differential on the season, and are favored over Mahomes in the SB. They are legit.

Looking at their schedule the only teams who are good that they beat are the Vikings (who were pretenders) and they split with the Cowboys. With the Giants talent level they are insanely lucky to have snuck into the playoffs and the 49ers were on their 4th string qb with a very beat up defense

I hear you but you can only beat who you play. They have done so convincingly all year.

also that cowboys loss was with Minshew at QB (ducks from the JN army of Minshew fanboys)

That’s true you can only beat who’s in front of you. The cowboys win was against cooper rush and not Dak also so it goes both ways

We should grab a guy from the eagles front office

Yes, we hired a GM who worked in Philadelphia and Baltimore to try and replicate that model.

JD's execution here at the Jets has not replicated what he did in Philadelphia.  Look at the players her drafted in later rounds in Phila starting for a SB team?

We need a new owner. That’s when real and meaningful changes happen.
