Derek Carr would be terrible here

Not a small sample size. Did you watch him in the Steelers game this year? His stats in those games are putrid.

Yup. But small investments. Carr is not the answer for the investment we would have to make. Rodgers is the only sensible option.

I do think it's Rogers or Tannehill.

So you don’t want Carr but want those guys instead? Lol ok

Didn’t say I wanted these guys. I want Rodgers. But Carr is a much bigger risk than any of those others.

Gonna be Blake Bortles fighting it out in camp with the power bounce passes of Zach Wilson, isn't it?

"Terrible"' compared to 5 miutes apiece of Boomer Esiason and Brett Favre; spots of okayness in Ken O'Brien, Chad Pennington, and Pat Ryan; crashing greatness of Vinny Testaverde; and a whole lot of QB suck, including the above, Wilson. Seen more terrible than evern adequate.

If Carr is the option, he'd be better than a lot of the above. Give him a healthy Breece Hall, fortified OL, some budding greatness at WR and a solid defense, that's a playoff team. And he has a chip on his shoulder.

It has nothing to do with the team around him stinking while it's cold out as well. Or the fact that several of those games were probably on the east coast.

We play on the east coast. What’s your point? Did you see his stats in those games? Worse than Zach Wilson.

For so many reasons, he would be a bad fit here. Not saying he is a bad QB. I just don’t think he fits this system and this city and this fan base.

1) 0-7 in games 37 degrees or lower. Our playoff matchups, if we want to make it anywhere in the AFC are Buffalo, Kansas City and Cincinnati, all cold weather cities playing in outdoor stadiums, not even mentioning playing in NE and Buffalo during the regular season, plus obviously playing here. Also saw a stat where he was 3-17 in games under 50 degrees. Though I didn’t verify that one.

2) We would have to invest more in him than any of the other guys and we could be stuck with a huge terrible contract. At least we know Rodgers is likely here for 2 or 3 years and gone. Much more risk to our future in Derek Carr.

3) Seems like a good dude, but the crying at the press conference would be destroyed by the press and the fan base here, especially if the team isn’t winning. He just doesn’t seem like a New York kind of guy. Hate Aaron all you want, he will stand up there, and give/take sh*t.

4) He is just not a winner. Has never won a playoff game. Would rather have Jimmy G’s ability as lesser QB talent, but a winner in this system.

I think the draft pick compensation in a trade, if that’s how it goes down, is a big deal. If we don’t have to give up much, then maybe it wouldn’t be terrible, but his contract will be a big one and one that will strap us for a long time, unlike the other options. Rodgers is very short term and Jimmy G wouldn’t cost us anywhere near as much.

1) Have you watched those games?

2) All good QB's cost money.

3) I saw T.O. cry at a presser once.  Turned out alright.

4) This could have been cut and pasted from comments some people made when the Rams traded for Stafford.

Raiders hold zero cards.  They're not fleecing anyone in trade.  Jimmy G would be cheaper because he only plays 1/2 as many games and is 1/5th the player.

0-7 with 7 TDS and 16 INTs, 4 fumbles, 59 passer rating. 188 yds per game. Might be better off with Zach Wilson.

I asked you to bring up jimmy Gs since you are so obsessed with cold weather stats and you still haven’t. I provided 1 game of his. 130 yards 0 tds 1 int 50 comp %

Watched the Pittsburgh game last year. It was an embarrassment. Zach Wilson like. The stats speak for themselves. It’s not the trade compensation I am worried about.  It’s the 6 year 200 million dollar contract we would have to sign him to.

I didn’t say I wanted Jimmy G. I want Rodgers. I just said Jimmy G wouldn’t cost us our future. He could be a stop gap and maybe win a playoff game. Not ideal but trading for Carr is making a long term investment and I just don’t believe he would be good here.

You say carr is the biggest risk, then you say you want jimmy g if not Rodgers. Jimmy G has a very very concerning injury history and is also bad in cold weather games. Your point doesn’t make sense
