Fact is - Nobody in their right mind wants to play quarterback for the New York Jets.

Recommended Posts

There is no question that the New York Jets are a quarterback away from really being able to make a run.

The fact that nobody wants to accept, is that no quarterback in their right mind wants to step onto this team. Playing quarterback for the New York Jets might as well be an invitation to take over Pol Pot’s reign in Cambodia.  It’s the position of death. It’s the position of no return. It’s a position which is a guaranteed career killer.

We are not getting Jimmy, we are not getting Derek just like we did not get Aaron.

I want to win just like everybody else. But I’m too old to constantly get excited that “insert player here“ is going under center for the Jets and save the day. We have been playing this game for so long I can’t even remember. Everybody is the next savior and that everybody ends up in abject failure.

I should be able to provide an alternative opinion since I’m making an argument, but I’m out of ideas to back it up anymore. I honestly have no idea what, if anything will save this franchise that could never get its head above water.

at this point, I don’t much care anymore

GoB has been here since the transition from dial up internet, if not it seems like it.

Time brings knee pain, reading glasses, and a sense that the next epic Jets' Super Bowl win might come the February after all the sandwiches have been eaten at the tearful wake of a hardcore Jet fan and all that everyone is talking about  is "it's a shame how he/she never got to see Jets QB [insert name here] lift the Lombardi for the victory parade from Florham Park to Morristown, New Jersey.

Unbridled optimism for Jets is wonderful/righteous but tolerance for the 'forevers' to express their own existential Jets crisis might be cool; given the most recent Zachcollapse who would blame them...

I've listened carefully to a lot of Aaron Rodgers interviews.  I don't believe he is in his right mind.  I'm optimistic that in this case the right mind argument isn't in play.

I don't get why a QB come here.... our players wear t shirts in support of the backup QB and our star D cornerback is tweeting QBs on the market.

It was a circus under Rex and still is now.... just the way Woody likes it.

Top 3 defense and a lot of talent at the offensive skill positions.

Yeah, no one wants that

First off, we're not a QB away from competing for a championship.

Who that needs a QB is?

Why are some having a hard time with this?   Name all the teams in need of a QB who are a QB away from competing for a championship.

Did I miss something?  Was Rodgers traded somewhere else already?

Maybe it's best to just be chill, and see how it all plays out, especially if you don't care anymore?

/shrug.

the last QB that was traded to the Jets (to start) had a MVP/Career season the year after he left.

do you not remember this fact?

Don’t understand why this isn’t a desirable place to play QB. The offense has a lot of high end talent and the offensive line can’t be snakebit again with the amount of injuries sustained. With the stellar defense the Jets have  I firmly believe that they are just an average an average QB away from being a bona fide contender dammit and that after so many years of not being able to get the QB position right is what is soooo dam frustrating
