I don’t think Carr really wants to test the free agent market given his already very high contract. Bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

He's only guaranteed $40m over 2 years, Carr will be signing a new contract or he won't waive the no trade clause. My prediction is 3 years $100m fully guaranteed

I can't believe people want this guy.  The Raiders cut him loose for a reason.  I'm sure they want him to go to an AFC team to muck them up in QB hell.

Who the heck else we gonna get lol

I really think we have a behind the scenes deal in place with the Packers already.....hence the hiring of Hackett.....all of the possible destinations, potential retirement talk and speculative compensation is next level posturing

Prepare for them to attempt to sell Jacoby Brissett.

I don’t hate Brissett. But if Rodger or Carr end up never being serious at the thought of Jets, then we’re going to be a year behind on the inevitable regime change. Unless of course plan B is get up for Bryce. But I dont think the Jets have that in them. We’re going to learn a lot about what the league thinks about the Jets front office and talent level over the next few months.

So he picks a team in a dome, with a top notch defense,  in a division that without Brady is the worst in the league.

He could continue to run an offense that averages 20 pts a game and still win that division

Sounds like Carr wants to take the easy way out.

I feel like teams are a lot more serious about the intra-conference trading than we all realize. Football is a very superstitious sport and a team wouldn’t be able to live with a trade haunting them in their own conference. Trading out of conference mitigates that risk so it always seems preferable.

I'd want to go to the NFCS too, who's your competition?  Dude is currently battling Mahomes, Herbert and now Sean Payton/Russell Wilson.  Going to battle w/ 3 terrible teams all looking for QB's seems super appealing.  There has been smoke around the Saints for a minute, wouldnt doubt it happens.
