And the organizariom will hold their Dick in their hand while we wait for rhe attention whore.

He will come out and say, the darkness told me to wait on a decision.  Then the media does down on him, and he will throw out another scrap to heat the fire and so on and so on.

All the while Carr will be released and we are holding out hope for this whack job.

Carr is the better long term option anyway.  (Of the two)

I have my concerns about every FA Qb available.

AR-playing out contract for $; no urgency; trade cost

Carr- Cold weather performance issues & trade cost

JG- Health concerns & contract length/$

3rd tier Qb’s won’t deliver.

Keep building the talent around Qb so Qb doesn’t matter as much is a winning formula

The league year starts 3/15. The only rush is if they have an interest in Carr. I don’t think they do, and I hope not. Let him go to a dome and put up numbers like his doppelgänger Kirk Cousins, and be just as post-season useless at $40M/year.

If Carr had any defensive support, his all important W/L record is much different.

I think the NYJ Team is better with Carr than the Raiders Team is with Carr.

You do realize that if Rodgers had the personality you crave he would not be available via trade right?

His stats would be different, too. A lot less garbage time/attempted comeback yards. He’s fool’s gold, IMHO. I never liked him. Also don’t think he’s a fit, at all, for this market. I think he’d fold like Zach Wilson on his period.

From what I've been getting from my sources* slats is that the Jets have no interest in Carr anyway

*-SFJ has "sources" now?

Going to the Jets is also a dark place. Would save him some time and money if he would just sign here.

Carr is a good quarterback, Rodgers is a better quarterback.

Never said he was better or Rodgers wasn't.  Carr is the better long term option.

Assume we get Rodgers, we go through this song in dance every year until he hangs It up.  Next year (huge dead money) year after (huge dead money).  That is to assume he actually wants to play for the game and not to get paid.

Carr wants to play, he wants to win.  He won't command huge signing bonus.  Or even at his current contract, he has zero dead money if he sucks in NY for little trade compensation (not saying anyone should trade foe him)

We can't speak intelligently on feel.  I guess you can look at his splits, but if he was asked to comeback in the forth quarter and he does it more often than not, probably is a guy you want in the forth quarter.  JMO.

He’s better in the first half than the second. His red zone stats are okay. He has a lot of stats behind with 2 or 4 minutes left; not impressive. He’s basically immobile, and that’s only gonna get worse. I understand that he’s an improvement over anything the Jets have had at QB in a while now, but he’s not a guy I’m interested in taking up 1/6th of their cap. I do not see him as a guy who’ll take them over the top, which is what I’m looking for at that compensation level.

Is Nepathia a new porn star and Rodgers is taking a bunch of her DVDs into the darkness with him?
This guy is too dam flaky for me just don’t trust him to play out his contract.

The way I see it, Carr is a guy we can challenge for the last WC spot with, while AR12 is a guy we can potentially win a SB with.   That's why I don't care at all if we miss out on Carr.  It's worth it, imo, to wait as long as necessary to see if we can pull off the AR12 trade (assuming JD finds the trade acceptable).

Say it’s 2 years. We sign Zach for a one year deal and draft a rookie and let them battle it out. Would have to hope Zach matures and develops for a couple seasons. By then we need the rookie contract because we’ll have to pay sauce and Garrett

Well that's the reasoning behind potentially trading for AR12.  We probably have a 2-3 year window before we have to start paying up on this past rookie class.

The ego inflated new york marker is laughable and one of the most silly things people talk about.  Zac Wilsons performance as zero . zero to to with him playing in new york.

As for Carrs numbers this past year his numbers had nothing to do with garbage time comebacks.  He had his teams in the lead in many games and the the defense could never hold a lead.

Also he has more comeback wins than pretty well any other QB in the league over the last 5 years or so.

"CBS Sports HQ released the top-five fourth-quarter comeback leaders at the quarterback position since 2015 on Wednesday. At the top of the list, with a total of 23, is Raiders QB Derek Carr, who leads the impressive statistic."

Been thinking about this a lot.  I don’t see JD getting fleeced in any deal for AR if it’s made but what do you think would be a potential deal?

most analysts seem to think multiple firsts and picks - I just don’t think that’s palatable.

I use the matt ryan trade as a basis.  I get it, Rodgers historically is a better qb than ryan.  But ryan was traded for a conditional 3rd, coming off similar seasons production wise.  Ryan is also 2 years younger.

with all the talk from Rodgers about retirement, can anyone really look to spend multiple firsts on this guy?  I say this hears 3 and next year a conditional 3.

I'm gonna kill myself if I have to hear about how great Derek Carr is much longer.

You mean like the way his predecessor Favre played us so he could stick it to his "old team" by retiring, and then unretiring and signing with the Vikings, who he wanted to play for all along. No, no ex-Packer would EVER do something like that.
