Suck it up and trade for Fields

Depends on what the Bears want. I'd prefer Fields over the hold the fort retreads. However, I'm not trading any high picks for him. They are potentially drafting themselves into a dilemma. They'll have to take what they can get if no one goes nuclear in desperation. Unless of course they let Fields and whomever battle it out in camp.

Fields is nowhere near as good of as passer as Hurts.

Fields was one of the most accurate, efficient passers in the nation in college.

Fields improved from rookie to year 2.

Hurts was awful as a rookie.

Trading for Fields would be the best move for the team, but Douglas and Saleh would never be willing to swallow their pride to that extent.

If no Rodgers or carr I take this take any day over tanehill dalton mayfield etc

There wont be Rodgers or Carr.

The Jets have a shot at un-doing a huge mistake. Fields is not going to cost a ton, Chicago is buying another lotto ticket and a few more years, as their rebuild needs a little more time. This isnt an indictment of Fields, people are looking for the next mahomes. The problem is, there arent many of those guys is a LIFETIME. Fields can easily be Jackson or Hurts with a better line and a solid set of receivers.

Douglas and Saleh would make the trade for Fields if Garret Wilson insisted that it be done.  Wilson and Fields had two years of success at Ohio State.

JD coward arse would never admit to being wrong by trading for the dude we should’ve drafted

I don't know if he's a coward or why you'd say that.

It is an interesting variable that he passed on him though. Fields is very interesting to me. He needs work but has shown to be dynamic as a runner and I'd rather have him than probably anyone beyond the top 3 being thrown out there.

Fields had half of the 200 yard passing performances that Zach Wilson did this year, in more games, and also got hurt.

He ran for an incredible number of yards and has a chance to be one of the most dynamic running threats from the QB position we have ever seen. So that would be fun to watch.

Listen, I like Fields as a talent, but he has accomplished very little as a passer in the NFL. He has a lot to prove. I’m just not sure why you guys talk about him like he’s a sure thing.

Statistically the worst passer in football. Sign me up

It’s not even that I think he sucks, it’s just that he’s unproven and the hype doesn’t match the production. Can’t think of a more hyped QB with such meager passing production through two seasons.

Fields is not good.  Yes he’s statistically better than Zach Wilson so is anyone.  He will be a journeyman backup in less than 2 years

He is dynamic as a runner though. Over 1100 yards rushing this year. Josh Allen is a recent QB who sucked as a passer his first 2 seasons but made noise with his legs. Fields has done less with his arm than Allen did but more with his legs.

He needs to develop as a passer but does enough with his legs so far to be a starter. Could be very dangerous if he puts it all together.
