New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara, Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Chris Lammons and two other men have been indicted by a grand jury for allegedly assaulting a man at a Las Vegas nightclub in February 2022.

These guys usually throw money around and charges get dropped. We’ll see what happens

Bit of a common misconception. A crime victim can’t just “decline” to press charges and automatically erase a criminal case. In cases without video or witnesses, that’s often what happens because it’s hard to prosecute a case with a non-cooperating victim. But here there is video and, I assume since this went down in a casino, other witnesses. The prosecutor can still go forward and subpoena the paid-off victim to testify if they really want to bring the case — the victim contradicts the video/witnesses at his own peril.

Tl;dr — Kamara may not be able to pay his way out of this one.
