SouthernJet
We can trade for Sam and then have a swell QB battle for Sams backup where they can have a pool on how many sacks and INTs they will get. Hypothetical? How many Ws do Jets get last year with HEALTHY White as weekly starter?

But teams would have started to stack box more when they saw how Zach couldnt get past 1st progression,, so a another ? would be both healthy white and brees cause teams wouldnt stack box if white was playing due to his over 70 football IQ

Popular Post Beerfish
No more wins. As in 0. White was 1-3, 0 tds and 4 ints and 3 loses down the stretch, He has thrown two or more picks in 5 of his 8 games. His lack of health had zero to do with his performance. If you want to talk about what COULD have turned the season around? We allowed a punt return td on the last play of the game to lose by 7, We allowed a punt return td in a 3 point loss to Detroit. We took a heinous needless awful roughing the passer penalty negating a pick 6. We went offside on a play where the whole world knew the other team was just trying to draw the D offside. We got totally suckered on a long td to a 4th string TE We generated ONE turnover in the last 6 games (SF at the same time generated like 20 in their last 7 games) Last year we loved to focus on the shoddy to dreadful QB play but we seem to forget about special teams and defense having a big hand in the late season collapse. 7 1

I think he had 4 broken ribs for close to 2 of those 4 games? I think what turned season around is when teams knew they could stack box cause Zach couldnt quickly get through progressions and started throwing behind WRs losing tons of YAC which is a mandate of a WCO

sourceworx
They'd have swept the Pats (Zach single handedly lost both of those games), so at least 9. Competent QB play would likely have been enough to beat Detroit and/or Miami (second game), so 10 or 11 was a very realistic possibility.

Xtina
What is the point of speculating on hypotheticals? How many wins if they were in the nfc south? How many wins if every other team’s defense went down with injuries? How many wins if a youth potion was invented and Namath imbibed it? What if we all started vibrating in fifth dimension frequencies? Etc.

KRL
If White hadn't broken his ribs we would've won 9 or 10 games. They would've definitely beaten DET & MIA and probably JAX

CanadaSteve
I think we have a shot at both Patriots games, Detroit, and Miami. I think we make playoffs with Mike White if he would have started all year. That said, I do not think Mike White is the answer at QB for us. The only exception is the dolphins with their disastrous qb situation. His turnover rate is also higher than Zach and Flacco. Driving down the field he’s okish, but when it comes to the most important thing on offense in scoring points he’s a train wreck 1 1
jgb
Zach is the worst QB I’ve ever seen that people actually had expectations for. He is completely lost of there. He could improve 200% and still be a bottom-quartile starter. The odds of him becoming a FQB? Probably about the same as a random 5th rounder at this point honestly. If he could only lose a little weight, and thus gain mobility, he could stay on the field longer than Mike White. Plus, you get Rudolph at C, and Donner at Blitzen at OT. Much better OL. Just my opinion, of course.
