Kiper has the Jets taking a tackle in his latest mock

13. New York Jets

Anton Harrison, OT, Oklahoma

The Jets have major issues at offensive tackle. Mekhi Becton, the No. 11 overall pick in 2020, has played one game over the past two seasons. George Fant, who was limited to seven starts last season, is a free agent, while Duane Brown is 37 years old. They might have to fill both tackle spots this offseason. Luckily for New York, this is a Round 1 filled with solid tackles. Harrison started 24 games at left tackle for the Sooners over the past two seasons, allowing one sack and seven total pressures. He could play right tackle, too. He's a great fit for the Jets, who could have a new quarterback for which to block.

PFF has this kid 30th on their big board, and 4th amongst O-Tackles.

Still think Peter Skoronski will be there at #13, and would an excellent, flexible, valuable choice who is just as good as a G if (miracle) Becton and AVT are both back and 100%, but can more than adequately start as a Tackle if needed as well.  JMO.

We can look at the mock drafts now, but in the actual draft QBs will go high, as will T and EDGE.  I wonder whether T will be the BPA at 13.

I could see that pick being a WR, which allows JD to move on from Corey Davis.  They will watching Becton carefully, and we heard the love for Duane Brown at JD’s Press Conference.  They could try and roll with Brown, Becton, Mitchell, AVT, etc. if a top T is not there.

In the second round maybe a C and move on from McGovern.

Agreed.  it's a no brainer.

Jets get something back and Zach gets a chance to start over.

Can't imagine NO would give that up though.

Yea, NO wouldn't do that. They're already low on picks due to the trade up with the Eagles, trading for Zach Wilson has a 95% chance of being a terrible trade for them. That said, JD has done more impressive things.

PFF has its value but they aren't infallible either (see Zach Wilson).

I don't know about the pff grades but skoronski might be an avt style guard and Harrison will go top 20 easy

This very well could be the pick

He's no sleeper at this point.

Yea he’s climbing up the boards rapidly. I’ve seen him taken in many mocks in 3rd round. He’s a big kid 6’4, strong arm, decent speed, good awareness in pocket l. Saw a few games he played and was very impressed with his poise. If he’s there with our pick in round 3, I’m jumping all over the fence to the podium and picking this kid. Nothing to lose really, everything to gain.

there is zero chance anyone gives the jets a 2nd and 4th round pick for zach wilson. dude sucks out loud. we wouldnt even get just a 4th for him. his value is virtually zilch. maybe a 6th
