Jimmy G defies logic and the doubters, wearing a garland of flowers in his hair, returns to the streets of San Francisco by chariot to the cheers of his adoring fan base.

Any QB with the chance should be going there even on a real real real cheap deal.    Just about any QB is going to look great on that team.

Jimmy G is nothing special, Brock purdy is mike white quality.

That would actually be a great spot for mike white.

Niners should have people lining up to sign there really cheaply.

Mike White could very well be their guy to hold the fort until Purdy returns, with the caveat he doesn’t relinquish the title until he gets injured or sucks; it’s not like they were so heavily invested in Purdy anyway, so if White balls out then the job could be his long term.

Cheap veteran, upside we’ve seen, and he comes right out of the same offense (scheme-wise, not playcalling-wise).

They were saying Purdy needed 6 months, I don't understand that.  If it's a UCL, baseball pitchers need a full year, and Purdy has to be well enough to absorb contact and throw a larger, heavier ball.

I realize he isn't an MBL pitcher, and the entire motion is different, but it seems like 6 months is very optimistic.

The Jets will probably despite what they say be interested in a trade partner for Zach. Esp if they sign a high priced QB it would help pay that salary about 20 mil for 2 years. Some teams might feel that Zach would be worth it and still talent wise could be a successful player. Even though some pundits think he’s off the charts one former QB recently I forget who when evaluating 2022 QBs didn’t even rate him but did rate Mike White although poorly in the 30’s. I doubt SF could be a landing spot for Zach since they have Lance.

So why isn't everyone screaming for someone to be accountable for the QB mess on SF? If a GM messes up with a top QB draft pick, nothing else matters.  That is what I've been reading here for two years.   Is Lynch on the hot seat?  He not only used a top draft pick on a QB in 2021, but traded up to make the pick.  Then he completely lucked out when no team in the NFL wanted Garappolo in the 2022 offseason because of his shoulder injury.  Lynch was ready to trade Garappolo for a song and disinvited him to training camp.  Why aren't 49ers fans flying planes with "fire Lynch" banners?  According to this board, building a good team means nothing if you whiff on the QB positions and Lynch has whiffed a few times here.

Garrapolo, injured.  Lance, injured.  Purdy, literally Mr. Irrelevant, helps the team go 5-0 and then gets injured.

Team is still 13-4 and missed a Super Bowl appearance by not much.  After losing a Super Bowl only three years previous.

No mate, he's not on any hot seats, and he and JD are not equals in their success levels or mistakes.

JD hasn't built a good team yet.  He has a few pieces of one only so far, five season in to his tenure.

100 %.  Mike White is going to go to SF, be a smashing success, and I hate everyone and everything.
