Things are heating up in the land of the New York Jets as Aaron Rodgers and a Jets contingent are reportedly sitting down to talk business with Woody Johnson leading the way in California.

Woody & Co. landed an hour ago in Camarillo, CA, to meet with Aaron Rodgers. Now let's see if they can close the deal. Probably the #Jets most important road trip since the 2010 AFC Championship Game.

A long list of participants that includes Johnson, GM Joe Douglas, Head Coach Robert Saleh and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett are on hand for the sit down.  The meeting comes not long after reports of ongoing conversations today followed an earlier report of the Jets speaking with Rodgers yesterday.

The Jets have reportedly been hyper focused on Rodgers which was why the team was willing to let free agent Derek Carr sign with the Saints with no reports of an offer coming in from the Jets.

This would mark the second time the Jets pinned their hopes on a former Packers great to land them a championship, the last time being Brett Favre back in 2008.  The Favre experiment looked to be heading in the right direction as the team got off to a 7-3 start before Favre suffered an injury and the team collapsed own the stretch.

Gang Green will clearly be hoping for a happier and healthier outcome this time around.
