When Rodgers Gets Traded to Jets… Lazard Will be a Must Signing.

Recommended Posts

Over the past 6 seasons, GB has drafted the following receivers.

* Christian Watson (34) & Romeo Doubs (132) - 2022

* Amare Rodgers (85) - 2021

* J’Mon Moore (133), MV-S (174), Equanimius St. Brown (207) - 2018

* Deangelo Yancheng (205) 2017.

It took Christian Watson 1.5 years to finally learn what Rodgers wanted & needed out of him.

It took Lazard (UDFA) 2 seasons to get it.

We can’t allow GW to regress when Rodgers gets here. Having a big, talented & hard working receiver to get Wilson up to speed by teaching him what Rodgers likes. Rodgers gets very impatient with young receivers. Let’s get a Rodger’s guy in here to facilitate the transition. Drop Davis & bring in Lazard.

Well,  Rodgers also bailed on the chemistry building.  He will be in the building of traded, imo.

Wilson, Davis, and Moore are a pretty good  trio and the TEs.  Hall and Carter.

He won't need Lazard, imo.

Dream bigger. I like either DHop, OBJ, Mike Evans or Chris Godwin, Keenan. There could be a lot of big name WRs on the market to compliment GW. I would even look to the draft as there’s definitely a couple studs we can grab if we keep pick 13.

Davis:

2022 = 13 games 32 rec. for 534 yds. & 2 TD

2021 =  9 games 34 rec. for 492 yds. & 4 Td

Lazard 15 games each of the last 2 seasons.

Yea this is my thinking as well. Lazard is fine but if you are getting Aaron Rodgers and you have $15m in WR money to play with, I'd want a bigger swing.

I like OBJ since he's a FA. I feel like a lot of the top WR trades are going to require a 2nd round pick

I would have no problem upgrading Davis.  Familiar is not needed, IMO.

Pretty sure, when they met with him last night, they asked if there was a guy he might want for the Jets to sign, to make the transition better. The low cost of Lazard and the fact that Rodgers likes him, makes it a no brainer. Get rid of Davis and I wouldn’t be shocked to see Moore in the deal for Rodgers.

Problem is, he didn't have good chemistry with Lazard and he would completely disappear in some games. I expected him to step up after Adams left and he didn't, which is why Green Bay is letting him walk.

Letting him walk…. They made him a lowball offer because Rodgers was due huge $ this year. Also, Rodgers wasn’t the best playing with a broken thumb.

60/780/6 TD are solid numbers. We need a solid, strong & athletic receiver opposite GW who stays on the field, unlike Davis.

yeeeeeeeeaaaaaah - if we're getting Rodgers we're going for it. Lazard does nothing for us despite what Boozer suggests. Add Hopkins to this WR corps and make it a dangerous offense.

What does it take to get hopkins

We need to get rodgers Cobb, Lazard, Baktiari, tonyan et all, you know all the guys who were no weapons for him last year when he had his worst year since year one of his career. WITH BROKEN THUMB

If Rodgers is as wonderful as everyone thinks our present set of wrs should be more than fine.

LOL. Agreed. Lazard and Watson were project recievers because GB refused to get some A receivers in the draft or FA. They screwed with Rodgers and gave him stiffs. Despite that, he eventually developed some chemistry with them. That doesn't make them good receivers. They're frankly average.

I never thought these words would pass thru my lips with regards to OBJ, but SIGN THIS BEAST.

If the circus is coming to town anyway, might as well fill all three rings.  Also, Hard Knocks would be off the hook...

Dude 30year old Hopkins had 70 yards less than Lazar in 6 less games, Hopkins was never a speedster so his game shouldn't fall that much beacause of age.

Lazard is not that good, and there is zero evidence that Rodgers would want to continue playing with him.

Personally, I hope the Jets aim higher. I also feel like Rodgers would ball out with the status quo: Wilson, Moore, Davis, Berrios, and Mims.
