Alternating green or blue hued accent lights, which no one even notices because the daylight drowns it out with 90% of opening kickoffs being 1:00 games. F***ing brilliant. Even in my first game there, with the novelty of a new stadium, it just didn’t have that wow sense of “event” I’ve gotten elsewhere. Not outside with the stupid A/C fins, and not inside walking along all those unpainted gray cinder block corridors. I’ll at least allow the crappy design was the Mara-Tisch duo’s doing rather than Woody’s fault. The facilities at MetLife are decent, but the stadium is just so bland. Personally, I think the Colts stadium (Lucas Oil Field) is pretty awesome. It has character, acoustics are good for the crowd noise, and sight lines are pretty darn good. Nonetheless, I'm glad they're replacing the turf at MetLife.
