I like this trade for both teams. We got early round 3 value.

The reality is that Moore was not going to get a second contract with us. The big WR money will go Wilson. Rodgers, over the next two years, will want to play with guys he trust. Moore complaining will not have a place on this team.

Liked the Hardman signing a lot more when I thought it meant giving up either Davis or Mims.  Hardman is not a slot, not sure who we have right now who can play there. 

Anyone know if Lazard is an option from the slot?

I think I read somewhere that Lazard played a lot of snaps from the slot. Could be confusing him with someone else though

Mims should have tried harder.

Not a huge fan of it but he was overrated around here IMO.  Seems like people are looking for us to get OBJ Cobb or Hopkins.  Can't have everybody but we might be better off to add one or two of those guys and have the pick than Moore.

Moore proved himself to be a selfish player by whining and demanding a trade when they had a 6-3 record, or whatever it was.  I still thought he was going to be good and he will probably be good in Cleveland but may be addition by subtraction with his attitude.

The overrating of Elijah Moore in this forum is hilarious. We drafted him in the beginning of the 2nd round. We got a 2nd for him in a trade, after he did nothing for 2 years and demanded to be traded. Onward and upward. Got his selfish ass out of here. Great trade.

Surprised they traded a guy with his talent and still on his rookie deal but it makes a ton of sense if they sign OBJ now plus recoup a similar pick that will be going in the Rogers trade....part of a bigger puzzle.

Ugh. Unless the plan is to make a move for Hopkins I’m not a fan. Would rather have Moore instead of Odell. Either way think they still need to add a receiver, unless they’re planning on featuring Hardman in a much more prominent role than they should.

Lazard can play out of the slot, Wilson can as well. Honestly it's the cheapest spot in the WR group to add. Presumably Cobb will play out of there some.

Think based on what GB did with Hackett they'll want to get bigger out of the slot which fits the run game more. Moore had a shot to be really good and I got the ceiling play but the pick initially confused me from the jump because he was a bit of a misfit for the MLF offenses he was drafted to play in - turns out that's what played out.

Would I have expected a little more back for Moore?  Yes.  But presumably that was the best offer on the table, so that's what his value was.  The only decision at that point is to take the pick or keep Moore.  But this is only part of the offseason so until the music stops, we don't really know where it all will end up exactly.

As it stands now we have 3 top-50 picks.  Presumably we will have either one or two of them once the Rodgers deal concludes.  That still gives us possibly two new rookies who should reasonably be expected to upgrade the roster and contribute.  

So when the dust settles, we have a significant upgrade at QB, and the WR corps will be a near-push (Lazard/Hardman vs. Davis/Moore) assuming we don't bring in or draft one more guy.  

There are a few holes.  OL, DT, Safety, WR3/4.  But there is every reason to believe they will be addressed in at least some manner.  Bottom line, if AR is the QB, this is a much, much better team than last year.

Not worth a 2nd by himself, his value diminished last year. I believe JD got fair value for Moore.
