SCOUTING REPORT: STRENGTHS

Super productive elite athlete with a freakish combination of size 258lbs, speed 4.58 (96th percentile) and explosion (showcased with a 96th percentile broad jump)

Flashes strength at the point of attack with active, violent hand use. Forceful with his upper body to defeat blocks. Strong hustle player.

Foskey has violent hands and consistently breaks away and disengages from blockers. He’s instinctive, reading, reacting and locating the ball quickly, and finishing plays as an authoritative, wrap-up tackler.

Adds an extra dimension on special teams - has blocked multiple punts

He not only has long speed but an outstanding initial burst. Rarely gets beaten off the snap

Has outstanding bend around the edge and the ability to set the edge in the run game

He’s flexible enough to bend the edge, and he’s at his best when Foskey can use his quickness and change-of-direction abilities to counter back inside.

Foskey has an excellent feel for working off blockers and knowing how and when to counter as the play goes on

Has impressive strong violent hands, and uses them like clubs - technique is akin to a seasoned veteran

Plays with leverage at the point of attack whether inside or outside. Keeps eyes in the backfield when inside; moves linemen to either side with strong hands.

His long limbs and strong core strength allow him to power through blockers, and he has the flexibility to loop inside and get home

on twists.

Felix Unadike-Uzomah - EDGE - Kansas State

Overview

A hard-charging edge prospect, Anudike-Uzomah has good strength and a long frame that should continue to fill out. His run defense is unrefined and in need of better fundamentals, but he’s clearly gone to school on his pass-rush approach, adding several new wrinkles to his attack in 2022. His urgency leads to playmaking opportunities, but he will need to harness that energy and play with better control to become a more efficient defender. There is more polish needed, but Anudike-Uzomah’s NFL rush potential should eventually make him an NFL starter.

• Plays with a high level of intensity and urgency.
• Creates pre-snap rush plan and executes it.
• Possesses buffet of rush approaches that he can choose from.
• Effective use of length as bull rusher.
• Makes quick in-play transition from run defender to rusher when necessary.
• Explodes into tackle’s pads with heavy hands.
• Powerful hips allow him to torque run blocker off his base.
• Able to find runner and make tackles from challenging angles.

CB Clark Phillips III, Utah Utes

Originally committed to Ohio State, Clark Phillips III flipped to Utah and developed into one of the top defensive playmakers in college football and an intriguing NFL prospect. Phillips III started all 31 games for his career, registering nine interceptions with four of those being returned for touchdowns. He was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year in 2022.

Phillips III is a quick, twitchy, and explosive athlete that has the athleticism and movement skills to mirror and match routes. His change of direction skills and ability to transition is fluid and rapid. Phillips III showcases the ability to be disruptive at the catch point where his recovery speed and ball skills are exceptional. He displays some intriguing competitive toughness where despite his smaller frame, he is willing to come downhill and battle in space to make tackles. Phillips III has spent the overwhelming majority of his snaps on the outside but also has considerable experience playing in the slot.

When studying Phillips III, his impact and elite competitive spirit are impossible to deny. He is a dog! He improved every year at Utah where his reactionary skills developed wonderfully and he continuously showed up with impact plays in the biggest stages.

When it comes to concerns, Phillips III doesn’t offer ideal height, weight, or length. While he competes well above his weight class, teams were not shy about forcing him to play off contact and tackle. While always competitive and aggressive with no passive tendencies, there were instances in which Phillips III’s lack of size presented challenges for him getting off blocks and getting ball carriers on the ground.

Phillips III may not check all the boxes in terms of size but he’s a damn good football player that provides every other desirable trait at a high level to be an impact starter in the NFL.
