I am going to love when Rodgers healthy and a chip on his shoulder shows you guys that he is light years ahead of Hurts, and Herbert... and Easily Top 3-4

We'll see. We all saw how much Hurts elevated an already stacked Eagles team from his absence. He was an MVP frontrunner. Herbert had a much better season than Rodgers did. I saw Rodger's season as an anomaly, but Herbert still had a better season.

Here's to hoping Rodgers does better on a much better team, though.

It never ceases to amaze me that no matter how awful the baited hook looks, someone always bites down hard.

So per JN his floor is no worse than the 11th-best QB in the league, and yet a few here don't want him at all.

Some Jets fans are very sensitive they are looking for someone with an awesome personality and stability.

It really depends on whether last season was an anomaly or the beginning of the end for Rodgers.  I hope  he is somewhere between 5-10 at this stage of his career, best case being closer to 5 than 10.

Mahomes, Allen, Burrow are clearly better than him.  You can argue that Herbert is as well, although he had an off year as well.

Rodgers falls in the next group with Jackson, Watson, Lawrence, and maybe Prescott, Hurts, and Stafford.  If last year's performance was thumb-related and not age related, he is better than this group and comes in at 5 or so.  If not, he is in this group, which puts him in the 6-12 range.

If Rodgers continues to decline, he could fall in the middle of the pack group with Tua, Carr, Cousins, Murray with players like D. Jones,  Goff, Garappolo below them.

The issues that make Rodgers a risk and no sure thing, and why I think almost everyone who responded to this poll is overrating him, are his age, his ridiculous contract, and the potential for him to play only one or two more seasons.  When QBs decline, they fall off a cliff.  It's hard to tell if Rodgers is at the cliff's edge or not.  Very very few NFL QBs have been successful at age 40 (Brady?).  And older players are both injury prone and contact-averse.  Then he could retire after one season, putting the Jets in the same bind a year from now.  So this is no slam dunk move at all. It is a gamble on many fronts.

Given Wilson's poor outlook, I understand taking the risk, but JD needs to hold the line on the trade compensation so that the downside risk is mitigated to some extent.

I don't care about the past. I think those like Stephen A Smith are idiots when they claim that the Jets failure to make the playoffs the past 12 years and the misses at drafting a QB make Rodgers worth more to the Jets than he would be for another team that needs a QB.  Rodgers is worth what he is worth from an NFL standpoint.

I'd say he's current between ~8-12.  Based on 2022.

If he rebounds from a down year and injury, he's top 10 again.

If he doesn''t, he's middle of the pack or worse.

Kindly name the 8 that are better than him at a minimum

ill start:

burrow

mahomes

allen

who are the 5

These are the 2022 QB Ratings

1    Brock Purdy    San Francisco 49ers    QB    108.0

5    Jalen Hurts    Philadelphia Eagles    QB    100.8
6    Geno Smith    Seattle Seahawks    QB    100.8
7    Jared Goff    Detroit Lions    QB    99.3
8    Joe Burrow    Cincinnati Bengals    QB    99.0
9    Andy Dalton    New Orleans Saints    QB    95.2
10    Ryan Tannehill    Tennessee Titans    QB    94.6

17    Aaron Rodgers    Green Bay Packers    QB    91.1

Below average. That's not my opinion. It's a fact.

everyone is going to say, "but Bitonti, he was playing with a broken thumb"

Yeah, dude. That's what happens to 40 year olds. They get hurt

it happened to Favre who was an iron man before he went to the NYJ, it happened to Vinny T in 1999, and, most likely, it's going to happen to Aaron Rodgers this year

no way this dude plays all 17 games.

people saying he's top 5 or top 10 or whatever. That's considering the player he used to be, not the player he is.

Zach was 34th, by the way.  The lowest qualifying score. I don't know how he did it, considering there were only 32 starters, but he did.

So Jimmy G, Andy Dalton, and Ryan Tannehill are better than Aaron Rodgers. You are brilliant in your trolling.

Regrettably, Aaron Rodgers is worse than every quarterback in football because, as everybody knows, when a person hits 40 years of age, their arms and legs immediately detach from their body and they melt into a gelatinous mass of porridge. Pity to those who are unaware of this scientific fact.

The Jets are going to win 20 games with Aaron Rodgers next year and the next 3 super bowls in a row

Is that better?

I did not employ logic or use any belief system. The stats are the stats

In fact Aaron Rodgers is so below average he lost to a team qb'ed by Zach Wilson

Yikes
