I like when a poster makes a thread with the same title as their handle, like when the band Bad Company released the single “Bad Company” off the album Bad Company.

That was a Great Single & Album though. :)

Brings up a great pivot for this otherwise useless thread as to the best eponymous albums of all time.

My vote:

Runners up:  The Beatles and The Clash but if I had to choose one, this one is mine.

Yeah, but the SONG has to have the same name too.

But let's talk about the obvious here you brought up: Houses of the Holy isn't even on Houses of the Holy.

It's the Kansas City conundrum :)

As for the trifecta of band/album/song, I can only think of heavy metal contenders, which isn't my main taste.

Since we are on the subject, a little trivia.

The guitarist and Paul Rogers were phoning each other with ideas for band names and finally the guitarist called Paul and said Bad Company. Paul didn't say a word and the guitarist thought he hated it and said ok, I'll keep working on it and Paul finally said that name is amazing. Not sure how the song came about but it is my favorite Bad Company song.

This is another bent on the reason... Rodgers himself has said that he took the moniker from a book of Victorian morals that showed a picture of an innocent child looking up at an unsavory character leaning against a lamppost. The caption read "beware of bad company."

Yeah, I think I read that one somewhere as well. The story I quoted was from a radio interview with the bands guitar player. Can't recall his name.

Fun fact:  I worked security for a show they did in Turkey or Korea (getting old, can't remember which country I was in) and even in his late 50's (or so), the lead singer had this much younger woman come running up and ask for an autograph.  He asks "where should I sign" and with she pushes her chest out with plenty of cleavage showing and says "wherever you want".  He looks at me smiling and says "It's a great job, isn't it"?

And "Good Times Bad Times" is the perfect song to represent Jet fandom (minus the good times).
