your advice for my mock

I'm Jets GM in a 32 - GM mock (similar to the one on this board)

I traded the latter 2nd rd pick and Corey Davis to Green Bay for Rodgers.

I selected Skoronski in rd 1.

Kincaid would be the fun pick but I absolutely love Mazi Smith for this team.  He fits the mold of this DL perfectly. 

I like my boy Gervin Dexter for this DL too but Smith is just a massive force that would occupy a lot of space.

didn't get a decent trade down offer.  someone wanted offered 47 and 150.  

I'd rather have Mazi or Kincaid than the 150 and both will be gone by 47 I fear.

I chose Mazi.  And the Packers picked Kincaid immediately after with pick 43 from the Jets (for Rodgers... this draft allows trades).

Next pick isn't until 112, 4th round.  Sucks to wait.  At least I'm shoring up the trenches here.

I would have picked Smith too because he’d be a force multiplier for Quinnen Williams. That said, everybody thinks Kincaid is going to be a god-tier slot guy, which would be fun for us if we didn’t already have three JAGy TEs

Just added Tyler Scott from Cinci.  E moore is gone. C Davis will probably be gone.  Hardman on a 1 yr deal.  Lazard locked in but meh. 

I was looking at defense, particularly S, but Scott should fit perfectly here and will easily replace Hardman next yr.

What a huge difference the modest trade back in rd 2 did.  Not too far back to 53 and I certainly didn't expect mazi to fall that far.  Benton was going to be the pick if Mazi was gone.  No trade up takers in the first draft.  THe trade back got me the Michigan Center for free.  Leaning towards Center with next pick in draft #1.  Depends on who is there..

Good value on the trade down and a good selection. This is the area in Draft where I’d expect there’d be a run on IOL & DT. 3-4 rd. Is the sweet spot. Still thinking JD uses that #13 to garner more Day 2 Draft Capital where there is a lot of good talent stacked together in areas of need.

Can't get a trade partner for anything in Mock #1.  I really tried in rd 2 and like crazy here in rd 5. Very frustrating.  So I just have 2 picks left.  I was waiting to draft Juice late. He's the Center for the Jets future.

Weak competition, but just too much upside to ignore.  Iosivas will beat Mims in camp and Mims will be traded for a '24 conditional 6th rounder or just cut.

Mock #1 : For the final pick (207), I narrowed it down to Darrell Luter Jr., CB, Moro Ojomo, DL and one of a group of remaining WRs (Higgins, Wicks, Bell or Pacua).  Fell asleep before entering a pick.  Pick was skipped.  In the morning, Ojomo had been sniped (but I already took DL so no heartbreak there... but Ojomo is one heck of a value this late in the draft).  If I had a 7th rounder, I for sure draft Luter at 207 and wait for a WR with the 7th rounder.  But without it, I opted for offense, roster need, and weaponz. Opted for WR due to Jets likely roster, (w/o Corey Davis) and Elijah Moore.. just G Wilson, Lazard (not a huge fan), Hardman and Mims. Call me crazy, but I preferred the BYU kid over the others.  He'll have Zach Wilson throwing to him on the B teams all summer. But they were never at BYU together anyway.  

The other mock went better because I could execute a couple of trades.

Mock #2 Easy choice for my final pick.  Love Ojomo here. 2 DL picks will make some unhappy for sure, but Saleh is drooling and he was best value IMO.    Since Douglas cut Mann yesterday (drafted by Douglas BTW), I considered a punter for about 15 seconds.  Actually looked up Harbinger and his profile (he's not exactly Ray Guy) then said... would Joe Douglas make the same stupid mistake twice?  NFW.  Job on line. He's not drafting another punter. LOL.
