And now Zach has his "Teaching Assistant" on the sidelines as Rodgers does his thing. I would hope that there would be a lot of discussion on what ZW is seeing on the field and the appropriate counter-strategy.  He obviously will NOT be playing.

Zach will be traded, don’t believe what anyone tells you, if you been following football for long you already know how this will play out. I feel bad for the gullible Jets fans who believe in Saleh and JDs lies

Aaron’s backup while Hackett was coaching in Green Bay. This is getting hilarious. Is there still doubt that Aaron Rodgers is coming here? Hearing Aaron’s favorite smoke shop is opening up a location in North Jersey.

I've said this before, but it seems unlikely. His cap hit is 9.5 million (not to mention the Jets 2023 dead cap would be more than this - 11mll before June 1st and 5 mill after). What team out there has a spare 10 million to take a flier on project QB? The Jets might get a 7th rounder or future considerations for a team to take him off their books post June 1st. The Jets seem unlikely to give up a 2OA for basically no compensation to get ~4 million in cap space. Zach is not Darnold and there's not a belief out there that the Jets put a crap roster around him.

Sure feels like they’re going to try to trade Zach at some point.

I think if they had an offer they'd have taken it by now. His presence doesn't alter any negotiations with Green Bay after they've already said he's not the #1 QB even without Rodgers here.

Feels like it's (a) just in case there is an offer later, they have a QB with familiarity to the OC/system, and (b) could just be they want to roster 3 QBs in case of a Rodgers injury followed by Wilson falling on his face, and don't want that left to a rookie in an all-in year. Purdy-like results are unusual to say the least.

Either way, he's surely so cheap it doesn't preclude them from taking a QB on day 3, but it also prevents them from feeling forced into doing so. Final roster isn't due for another 5 months.

I thought they were going to leave this spot open for Rodgers buddy Kurt Benkert, but he just blew up his ribcage in an XFL game

My thought is that some team will be sifting through their QB options on day two of the draft and determine that Wilson is a better prospect than any one of them.

Yeah I think the old “change of scenery “ idea will come into play here , but you have to wonder if he didn’t get “Carr’d” as in David Carr, just mentally ruined. It just doesn’t make sense to bring him back to the scene of the crime so to speak
