List of prospects the Jets visited.  PRI stands for private top 30 visit at Jets facilities.

A couple missing names stand out— Peter Skoronski and Jaxon Smith Njigba.

I think it’s a smokescreen to hide their intentions.  My guess is they prefer Skoronski who can immediately start at left guard or right tackle and if he’s gone they are going with Smith Njigba to help Rodgers this year.

They will not take an offensive player who cannot make an immediate impact and I can’t see them going defense.

They committed to Laken Tomlinson being on the roster this year when they restructured him. Could have cut him to save money. It would be extremely shortsighted to do that with an eye on drafting Skoronski to play him at left guard.

Regarding tackle, he’s got similar measurables to AVT and is viewed similarly as a prospect. Potential high end guard or average tackle. Perhaps there’s an important distinction and they view him differently, but I think we’ve got a little lens into how the Jets view a prospect like that. Would rather play him at his better position. There’s not much room for him if it’s not tackle.

He’s got center versatility too so it’s possible they take him and just plop him wherever, I guess. Maybe they want to have two Swiss Army knives. But I think it’s unlikely there’d be room for him at guard early in his career here, and I ultimately think it’s more likely they take a guy with a cleaner projection to tackle if they go the OL route.

Also, did see rumors they were planning to have him on a top 30.

What’s the deal with Quentin Johnston WR TCU. Kid looks like he’s the next Metcalf/T.O type of WR. Is JSN much better than him?

Really good after the catch for his size, questions about his hands and ball skills. Odd skill set in the big WR package. Some small guys who play big too. Weird class.

Trade back. We will be giving up picks to get Rodgers. Already lost a 3rd in the Moore trade and will be giving up a #2 and more to get Rodgers.  Trade back twice. First with the Pack to go from 13 to 15.  That constitutes at least a 3rd rounder.  Just give it up and give them a 2nd rounder and tell them take a couple players off a list of Bryce Hall, Corey davis, Echols, Ash Davis.  Thats it - take it or leave it. Fair deal. Then trade back again to the high teens/low 20's and pick up another 2nd rounder. Then take BPA In Round 1, we'd still have two #2's after the Rodgers trade.  It would give JD trading leverage to move up and get the player he covets if he wants to get back into round 1.  These tackles are not that far removed from each other.  We need a tackle, a center, a LB, a safety and a DT.  We could walk away with Rodgers, and two 1st round picks and a 2nd rounder. Dont put it past Trader Joe.

Trade Down with Anton Harrison in the early-mid 20’s.

This is the Way!

Heck ya. Read my post above. Trade back with the Pack at 13 to 15 to sweeten the Rodgers deal. There just may be someone Pack is itchin to get when 13 rolls along. Would be a nice bargaining chip in the Rodgers deal and grab that monster Harrison after trading back from 15 to high teens/low 20's.

Watch a ton of TCU living nearby. And he just doesn’t have it if you ask me. Might be a good player in the right situation. But won’t ever get to the level of the guys you mentioned. This class for me lacks that big bodied dominant WR. I do see JSN and even Flowers (wouldn’t even think about flowers at 13 though) as high end WRs if used right.

Would be happy to trade back in the 1st with or without a swap with GB. I think we can get a solid 2nd tier WR later but need to take a tackle and a center. Schmitz could even be available at 43. Can get one of the centers in the 2nd round, so likely a tackle in the 1st round. I think JSN goes top 10. Not sure why it’s even being mentioned. Same with many names on that list.

ONE MORE WEEK for insanity in Jet Nation.

OT seems like such a logical choice........but lately i keep thinking Nolan Smith the edge rusher from Georgia.  He just seems like a player that Saleh would love to have and his D is all based on pressure from the D line.    If this is the case they go O line round 2.
