My evaluation is the Jets have a QB, that it will be fun to watch the Jets play, and not "fun" because I'm laughing at the tv for 3 hours like that week's extended version of Dumb & Dumber with the extra footage.

This poll is five days too early. I want to see what the contract details are and I want to see how JD moves around the draft board. It is conceivable Green Bay purchased higher compensation by eating more of the contract. It’s also possible that JD can lessen the draft pick pain by what he does in the draft and what players are on the board when they would have selected at 13

Good point.  I felt I was generous with a C, but if that happened it could be better.

I gave it a B, but I don’t like the trade details very much (specifically that conditional) and don’t think JD won the trade, at least to his standard. He could have done better If he waited it out a little more. I do think it will be very beneficial for the Jets though, and I’m much more excited for this next season.

Jets fans have been spoiled by JD after all the trades he’s made in our favor. We didn’t rip off GB in this one but it was a fair trade. We got a HOF QB for pick 42 and a late 1st next year. Heck, I mean JD got a 2nd 4th and 6th for Sam Darnold in comparison

I want to see what JD does in this draft before I judge the trade. I’ll like it quite a bit if we can pull off a trade down to make up for the lost picks in next years draft. If we don’t trade down, I give it a C. Seems like the jets caved and paid the packers price at this point. Happy to have Rodgers but I don’t understand why the price was as high as it was.

Post 2023 looks materially less positive, or at least, far more uncertain.  Cap wise. QB wise. Team design wise.

This is the whole enchilada right here...people wanted JD to run over Green bay with a truck and because the deal wasn't lopsided then JD lost? hahaha Jesus there are some miserable people here.

I haven't seen anything about Rodgers contract.  We gave them too much if we are taking on his salary in years 3 and 4.  Did anyone read anything about this?

No, JD didn't win this trade.  But no need.

A+ value as it makes us instant contenders and we don't have to waste the great youth on the team.  I'll even say Zach can develop under Arod.

13 wins taking the AFC East.

50% super bowl odds.  Cin, KC and Buff are pretty damn good.  Who knows what will happen come January with injuries and momentum?

The key to the deal to me (besides Rodgers still being good) is getting two years out of him. 
 

the jets seem confident of that, but I don’t think his current word means all that much.

The trade is as close as you can get to being objectively bad value wise. Especially given the situation in Green Bay. 

It is the most "go hard or go home" move you're likely to see. He was always the high ceiling option but we didn't get the insurance if he declines/retires that I really expected. The 65% snaps is insurance against injury and nothing else. There is really no scenario where Saleh benches Aaron Rodgers. 

Of all the mooted options Rodgers is the guy who could legit have an MVP season and win us a superbowl. I think we're trying to convince ourselves that his downturn last year was more due to circumstances than age and hopefully that proves to be the case. The upgrade from Zach is still so extreme that I'd expect 10 wins minimum if the defence can play at around the same level. Anything less would be disastrous and everyone will be fired. 

It's the most excited I've been for a Jets season since Rex. It will be awesome to have a Jets team worth watching even if it doesn't last long.

We had a 7 win team last year before losing last 6 weeks of season. So looks like Jets will improve on offense for sure maybe 2-3 games better. Actually last year GB only 8 Ws one reason they got rid of Rodgers.
