Popular Post FidelioJet
As we all know Aaron Rodgers will be 40 this year - and most understand he had his worst year as a pro. In the 15 years he's started 2008 to 2022. He missed substantial time in 2013 (9 games played) and 2017 (7 games played) So we'll put those asides. Here are some basic points worthy of noting... Lowest total yards (in 17 games vs. 16 in the past) Lowest Rating Most INTs other than his first year as a starter - by A LOT (Almost more than the past three years combined) ZERO 300 yard games (only year he's done that) 2nd lowest total TD's (tied for 2nd lowest) I'm sure there are plenty more concerns - as these are just basic stats from the chart below. Now I hear a lot of excuses but the two main ones: He had a bad finger for 5 games All he had at WR was a highly drafted rookie and Allen Lazard Certainly you're all welcome to come to your own conclusions - but the most obvious and realistic one is Aaron Rodgers is getting old and it's showing in his game. Once that starts to happen it almost always gets worse, fast. I'm hoping Rodgers defy's the odds and returns to form, that would be amazing, but I do think there are legitimate reasons to be concerned. 5 9 2 1 1 4 9

The thought all last season was if the Jets had a solid NFL caliber QB they’d be contenders. Now they have one. AFC is brutal, no doubt. But if we can compete with the Bills and Bengals of the world with Wilson, Flacco and White, we can certainly do better with Rodgers.. no?

Popular Post jetblue95
now do tom brady's last 2 seasons in NE and his first two seasons in TB (at an older age than rodgers is) also, christian watson was a 2nd round pick (and considered very raw coming out of north dakota state) and romeo dobbs was a 4th round pick out of nevada. not sure either qualifies as a highly drafted WR, at least if the attempt is to compare them to garrett wilson, a top 10 pick out of ohio $tate considering the guy won back-to-back MVPs in the two seasons before 2022, it would be odd that he just suddenly hit a cliff and his talent and abilities went downhill so fast. in 2020-2021, he had 85 TDs and 9 Ints. and the next year he was washed up???
Popular Post Tranquilo
Does it matter if you think they're a Super Bowl contender or not? They had like 7 wins last year with basically nothing at QB. They're better at the position. They'll be better. How much better is splitting hairs. In the NFL, you just need to be in the mix. 5

slimjasi
He could be on a decline, but we need another data point (this season). We have no slope - no change over time. All we know is he had one relatively down year. Btw, he didn’t have a bad finger “for 5 games,” he broke his finger in week 5. That’s a significant difference. The only odds Rodgers has to “defy” are the ones in your head - the jets have the 6th best odds to win the SB - that’s not because Rodgers is expected to suck.
