Unless my eyes fail me I see no mention of Favre. Interesting.  Nevertheless a stand up guy and happy to have his veteranship and legacy on this team.

Given the optics of his impending tax fraud trial and dick pics, I'd probably not mention him at the moment either... Regardless if he was a great teammate. People and the media suck.

Favre did not treat him well, kept him on the bench for three years, and has been in the news recently for fraud. What does he have to thank him for?

Wow.   This dude isn’t who I thought he is. That sounds like heart felt thanks to all the little guys.

My thoughts exactly. I was concerned because my impression was that he was an entitled snob, but I respect that he cared enough to call out the contributions of the people who don’t normally get publicly recognized. I hope he stays healthy and this turns out to be a great 2-3 year run.

lol @ people having a negative impression of a man who they have never even freaking met in general.....

I have positive and negative impressions of lots of people I’ve never met based on what I know of their actions. Some of them are even un-meetable, for example, historical figures.

Besides, my point was that I find it humorous that people can change their existing impressions of someone who has been in the public eye for 20 years based on a single Instagram post.

No, my opinion on him as a human is based on the fact that he has no relationship or contact with any of his family members.

i mean that's kinda pretty stupid since you don't know the circumstances behind that. it's his personal business.....dumb reason imo but carry on judging someone with no knowledge of the circumstances that caused the issue

I can only form opinions from what I know. Like my grandma said, “If you don’t get along with any of your family members, the solution usually lies in the mirror.”

This also is a personal issue facing one of my family members so it hits close. I’m sure you understand that I won’t be sharing details here.

yeah i'd imagine not. maybe that's a part of aaron's problem. his brother going on the bachelorette and airing some things out in public. aaron seems like a private dude, i can see why he'd be annoyed by that. anyway aaron may very well be a dick.....for me idc i only care if he throws tds and helps the jets win games......i don't ever plan on trying to hang out with the guy

Oh I also DGAF about player’s private lives when it comes to evaluating them as an player unless they engage in behavior that imperils their performance or ability to be available on Sundays (such as criminal behavior).

I’m hugely in favor of the Rodgers deal. It’s a separate analysis entirely.

Do you guys think he actually wrote this? Players have agents that tell them what they should do and have people that write this sh*t for them. Whether or not they listen is a completely different story. Rodgers is coming to a huge market and can make a ton of money off of it. It was probably wise not to drive his truck through downtown GB dragging cheeseheads behind him flipping the bird out the window while cursing out the organization.

Yeah I mean how could he have come up with “huge thank you to my guys in the equipment room “ on his own

I know right? My impression of him is based on his changing of his uniform.

“But he’s such a nice kid!!!” Is the most cringey “defense” of a player.

Often — on here and at work — I’ve been accused of “having a bias.” Hell yeah I have a bias. A bias for performance.

Your Grandma was not universally right in that comment.

Wasn’t a universal statement. She said “usually,” I’d argue >50% of the time, it is accurate. Making it a correct statement. And me? I’ll play the odds e’er day.

Some of you guys treat sports like your version of The Real Housewives who gives a F if Rodgers talks to his family or took a shot you are consuming entertainment from complete degenerates and sociopaths on a daily basis stop picking and choosing when you have morals and values...btw Rodgers has never been arrested for violence or visited an island with underage sex slaves so calm down. lol

Smart post. I would add some people just need to judge others to help them feel better about themselves.

I especially like the negative " He stinks because he went on a retreat or he doesnt talk to his family comments" followed up with the "but I only care about his performance". BS, If thats true, why bring it up to begin with?

These guys all suffer from the human condition regardless of background.
